Wow the condition is crazy good. Breaking into the 1700's US coinage is a major find congrats! Looks like a die crack at 2 o-clock on the obverse.

In 20 years I pulled 4 coins with dates from the 1700’s. Ton from 1800’s. I am jealous of our friends in the UK who pull thousand year old coins on the daily.

This past Friday I stopped at a fast food restaurant. My order came to $11.37. Soon as I saw the amount, I knew in my mind change would be $3.63. I provided $15 to the clerk…
Even with the amount displayed on the register he still could not count change to equal .63 cents. So the next best thing? He proceeded to hand me $4.00 back
Ok back to the post
