14K Gold Marquise Diamond Ring I snagged with my E-Trac

Hotcz70

New member
Picked up this little beauty with my E-Trac at a tot-lot type of site while hunting in quick mask with the Coiltek Joey coil.

Quite a pleasant surprise after popping a zillion pieces of hotwheels/toy type cars....and other assorted crap.

I plucked enough little wheels from the sand to start a toy car tire store.

That's a nice one. I bet someone is missing that one.

Very nice Bling !!!! I have a ton of patience except when it comes to digging low conductors looking for gold jeweler :ranting:

That's like a couple of gold rings in a month isn't it Bryce! Way to go man! Thanks for the pictures.

What were the numbers?

If I remember correctly it even jumped down to 10-6 a time or two.

11-7....12-8 is what I have written down in my log though.

Sweet!

:surprised: Wow !!!!!

Thats a beauty bud. I know you rarely post any of your etrac finds but Im glad you got this one on the forum.

Congratulations Bryce, now that is a very nice ring :surprised: sure beats what we found yesterday and yesterday wasn't too bad, I'll holler at you next week after the rain stops will go hitter again.

as to if you tried to locate the owner or anything....or if there was even a way for you to do so? Please don't be offended but was just wondering.
Again...very nice find. I have been considering an etrac to go with my explorer but I figure I better try to learn my explorer first...lol.

for a full week.

No offense taken to your question...and it was a very valid one.

Good luck on your decision. I honestly feel you would find the E-Trac easier to learn because it is so smooth...but I love my Explorers.

Wow, that might pay for part of a new detector, depending on that stone! I have to start hitting the tot lots here in Germany. I bet I will be one of the only ones within miles who does. Thx for the reminder.

Bryce I know or I think I know how much you love your Explorer

So what made you purchase the ETrac and how do you decide to go out with the ETrac and not your Explorer?

Either way you seem very successful with either Detector

Congrats Again

Great looking ring Bryce - congrats !!! :beers:

Thanks Eva.

I use the E-Trac just as I use my assortment of coils....as another tool/weapon in the quest for previously masked or missed deepies.

There are days I prefer the raw, chirpy power of my Explorers and there are days where I prefer the smoothness of the E-trac.

In this case I was doing a field test for Coiltek and I always like to put time on both machines to see how the coil does for me on each.

My sites are so hammered that at some of them I love to pick a small section and grid it off with the E-Trac while hunting in quickmask.

I personally don't like Two tone ferrous because I feel I lose a ton of depth with it....so I creep along in quick mask.

Take care.

I plan on spending a little more time with my E-Trac this year and hopefully squeezing in a few more hunts with niterider_58.

I figured you did... as from reading all your posts; that seems like the kind of person you are:thumbup:
With all the negative press the hobby is getting right now from tv shows; more good publicity is needed.
Good job...and Congrats again.
