14K Chain

Dig said:
Hey Everyone! I just came out of the water from a morning hunt with some friends and I managed to pull a really nice 24" 14k gold chain. Now, I will tell you something that will keep you awake at night. It makes almost no tone on either the CZ21 or the Excalibur. I manged to find it because I was going super slow and detected the clasp. The chain body gives almost no tone at all. I have found other chains that sound off just fine but, I think this one might have to do with the "rope" design. Freaky! Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting my friends!

Now go back and find the GOLD COIN that was on that thing ! Great find...

Hello

Are you a scubadiver? What kind of settings you used for the golden chain? Here on the beach lets say 3 meters deep are a lot of tourists but i even not find a silver ring gold not at all!
Even the coins you find like 30cm deep but all not older then 10 years...Its an old beach soft sand...So what is my gold doing? ;)
Whats your experiance?

Hey WD! First off I guess welcome to the Forums. I had to laugh out loud when I saw that this post was on top of the pile for the day. I am not a Scuba hunter, but I do hunt in the water. Try hunting, the low tides and just walking the first few meters of shoreline. Go back and forth from ankle to neck deep, in the most heavily visited areas. Eventually you will find something. I don't know where you are but, settings will need to vary depending on location. My settings for the excal are : Disc 0,Sens @ 6, volume 3/4, Threshold = just barely audible. I hope this helps you. If not just PM me and I will be glad to help. That way you wont accidentally refresh an old link. :p -Dig

Nice chain Dig!!

Hunters can improve their total finds a lot by paying attention to those weak signals.

GL&HH Friend,

Nice catch on the chain!

I've tested many of my wife's chains. She likes thin chains. Most of them are invisible to the Excal, CZ20, CZ6a, Sand Shark and HH Pulse until the coil is nearly rubbing the clasp.

Tejon, Compadre and F75LTD will pick up the link parts but not at any depth. If any discrimination is added the chain links disappear too but can still get the clasp.
Cheer,
tvr
