14K Chain

Dig

Active member
Hey Everyone! I just came out of the water from a morning hunt with some friends and I managed to pull a really nice 24" 14k gold chain. Now, I will tell you something that will keep you awake at night. It makes almost no tone on either the CZ21 or the Excalibur. I manged to find it because I was going super slow and detected the clasp. The chain body gives almost no tone at all. I have found other chains that sound off just fine but, I think this one might have to do with the "rope" design. Freaky! Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting my friends!

First of all, Congratulations on the 24" gold chain Dig and
secondly, that is great information...thanks for sharing it.
Continued success.......... Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

NIce Dig, Looks like your cleaning out the good stuff before SD gets there.............

I knew you would get this one in there. NIce By the way Cell phone went swimming the AM new one on the way. E-mail is only contact right now.
You forgot to tell them how little a sound it actually was. We all would have walked off this one. But the hunter he is knew from sound it was too sharp and dug. The streak continues two trips and gold for Dig two times in a row. If this keeps up I will get a lot of invitations to hunt on that coast. LOL

No OBN......Rob usually overlooks a piece or two by the time I get down there.....I think its because he wants my Florida Tourist experience to be the best it can be....Dig is a fine Ambassador for Florida Tourism....dontcha think?? :detecting:

Nice Chain Rob!! that cold water slowing you down is making you hear the tough signals....way to go !!....Brian

SLOW is the way to go. I have a piece of red plastic surveyors tape tied to my shaft as a reminder to slow my swing. I think some times we put our minds in neutral and march along forgetting the basics of the hobby, slow and listen for the faint tones.
