13" Ultimate DD coil on G2

I just saw that there is 13" DD coil now available that should work on the G2. They list it for the Tek Gamma and Omega so it should work on the G2 also. Anybody seen this new coil or have experience with it? Bill
 
Bill-----I heard from a friend user that the 13" DD Ultimate coil gave the Omega a boost as to depth achieved.-----I would think that it (should) work on the G2 also (as the other DD Greek series coils do).-----I asked Kellyco this question, if the Ultimate coil would work on the G2 & new GB also & just got silence, never did get an answer one way or the other from them.----If the 13" Ultimate coil works & does well on the G2/Gb, it seems it would behoove Kellyco to make that known, it would surely help their sales.----I guess this isn't really much help to ya with your question---but I tried. :)----Del-----------BTW, I don't blame you for wanting to have the assurance this coil would work and have acceptable performance on a G2 before sinking this much money into it.

It might it might not . Dave j said the Fisher coils are broad band and thus why thy work on both machines.
I was going to try one , if a no go, i hunt with a bud with a Omega and he would take it.
I heard thy are on back order , i have not called to verify thou.
 
sekypaleo, I just bought one from another forum member and will try it on my G2 Thursday and get back to you. Don't look for any kind of sophisticated testing, but I'll try a minie ball and a silver coin and get some idea of depth, functionality, etc with the G2.

Kellyco is out as of this writing, but I was told by their customer service department on Monday morning that that their shipment of Deltech Ultimate 13" coils for the Omega would be in next week.
 
Steve its not there call , the ultimate 13 is not made by Fisher .
It depends on how its made as to weather it works or not. on the G2/GB
 
Yes let us know about the test on this coil should be good!!!!!
 
Detech's Ultimate 13" DD coil works flawlessly on my Fisher detectors.

Mike, I got the Detech thru Kellyco for my Omega. I was amazed that it not only fits my Omega but also my GB pro, and works just fine on both machines.. The coil is light weight, handles like the stock 11 DD, it seperates like the stock coils, it has a unique coil cover, the cover snaps on the coil with a loose fit for easy removal. You just have to remember to remove the cover for cleaning since debris can get inbetween the coil and cover. Like any large coil, this one does not like EMI, and is not the coil for real trashy sites. So it is site specific. In my soils and conditions, I have noticed an increase in EFFECTIVE depth. I have not had the opportunity to find a extrmely deep target 10+ inches yet. The coil certainly air tests deep. I wish I could give you more info, but I have had the coil for only a week or so, and I am certainly no techie expert. Hope this helps Txquest

If that coil can give a little more punch , that would do just fine . :goodnight:
 
A quick report...got to get back watching the NFL Draft. The Deltech Ultimate 13" DD coil for the Omega came in today and I just tested it on my G2. It works flawlessly, with stable operation, accurate ID, great target separation, and no noticeable EMI problems. I did a quick air test and with sensitivity at 90 and discrimination 39, got these following results: minie ball 12"+, eagle button 10", silver Barber dime 10", clean Indian head cent 11", all giving a solid, repeatable signal that (according to my thoughts at least) someone would dig every time. It is well balanced and very light. Can't wait to try it out in the wild!!

Hello all, Thanks for the replies back. I spoke with a experienced and knowledgible relic hunter in TN who replaced his stock elliptical coil on his Omega with the 11"DD and gained a couple of inches of depth, but he told me that when he went from the 11" DD to the 13"DD ultimate he gained 3" depth on a minie! As some of you may know from my posts on this forum...I love my G2!!!!! Best darned detector I have found in 20+ years of detecting, and believe me I have used and tried alot. It surprises me how people buy into the negative unfounded hype on the G2, such as....
it's high frequency is no good for coinshooting....BS! I got a seated dime at 8" and my buddy got a seated half dime at 7"....that's not bad at all! Deepest mine ball for me was 10" (mild ground). So for me, the ONLY reason to consider any other detector would be for just another 2-3" depth. If the Ultimate coild can do that....then I am set for LIFE!
Problem is getting my hands on one...I am on vacation all next week relic hunting and was REALLY wanting to have the Ultimate coil with me, but KCO is out of stock. BUMMER!
When I do get one, I will give you guys a field test of it.

If any 13" DD owners could let us know how the coil performs in shallow water (fresh and salt) on gold nuggets, it would be a great help. Thanks!:twodetecting:
