thanks Randy.. I have only been to one other location similar to this one but the relics are no where near as plentiful.. different but not much at all...iskirkra said:Yes, Evan is in Oklahoma and that is why the age of his relic finds are so amazing to me. He is finding pre civil war military relics in Oklahoma. There were just a few forts established in Oklahoma in the early to mid 1800's. Congrats Evan on some more great finds.

 not me.. lol, but most of the roads I am hitting were heavily used supply routes, river crossings that appears to have had camps and/or staging areas...pspr said:I've looked for civil war battle sites and camp sites in north Texas and can't find much. Seems there might be a few in east Texas but not much NW of Dallas. I guess the Chisolm Trail is just west of here and east of Ft. Worth. Maybe I'll see if I can find more research on that. I'm not sure if Evan has done any research on the trail through Oklahoma.
lol yeah you say that.. wait till about a 6 rattler coils up on ya.. they can lash out almost half of their body length.. then we have the aggressive cottonmouths that will try to come in the boat on you, then the copperheads,, they are so camo'd you don't hardly see them till you step on them... You can have em' all. lol..Derrelld said:I wish we had snakes like that in Ohio. That is awesome!
