For what it is the Compadre is well what it's worth. Even if you advance to more powerful machines, keep the Compandre as your "backup weapon" at all times. And if you find an interested party in this hobby, it's a great way for them to experience it using that detector going out with you, while not having to worry about all the things we learn as we grow in knowledge and experience. And, as it's not a toy by any means, they just might do a "beginners luck" on you the first day out.
