    New Patriot

I have a 4 inch coil for the F44, not the F2 one, that works really well on the Patriot. The FeO2 scale doesn't work but it ground balances well, the numbers are correct and it can pick up a small nugget I got with an MD20 detector a greater distance than my nox, legend, and even deus HF...

    Probably button?

Excellent find on the button! Congratulations! By popular vote with proper ID? For sure would have saved thousands upon thousands of American lives. I'm trying to remember who marched clear to Atlanta destroying everything in their path, especially pertaining to industry and food...

    Cost of making a F75

If you have one of these $100 F75s or any of the other top range detectors, I would gladly pay that plus a 50% profit for it. It seems that cost and desirability may be quite different.

    Numbers .

Whatever you want to make an iron tone sound on and below. Zero doesn't allow an iron tone. Fourty gives an iron tone on most small iron. Maximum gives a high tone on most modern coin tones except nickel, and iron tone on a few targets slightly less conductive than these coins and no sound at...

    Cost of making a F75

Ask yourself how much would it cost you to design, build, and pay for all the electronic, plastic, aluminum or carbon fiber pieces, while not infringing on patents from Fisher or any other company's products, a comparable detector from scratch. Does anyone think they can do it for less than a...

    Safari troubles

I'm glad it worked for you. It used to work for me. I updated my Legend to 1.09, 1.11, 1.15 but I cannot now access their website any more on my Mac using Safari. I need to know why it does not work for me, not that it works for someone else. Thanks for your time though.

    Safari troubles

Lately, when attempting to access nokta detector website, Safari says that they can't open the page and gives me the message that they won't allow it because they "can't establish a secure connection with the server 'www.noktadetectors.com'". Does anyone else have this problem or know what to...

    Bought a Compadre with a 7” coil

Here's an article on it. I don't know if the part numbers are still correct but they were what I used. https://www.findmall.com/threads/could-a-guy-change-the-coil-hookup-on-compadre.163500/

    Equinox 800 on silver

From Equinox 800 manual: Using a single frequency may have a slight advantage over multi- frequency in certain detecting situations. For example; if you were searching only for larger high conductive targets located at great depth, using 5 kHz may give an advantage. Similarly, if you were...

    Hi, all. I’m still kickin’……

Sir, I can't tell you how much better I feel seeing you post again. In spite of all the prayers for you, I was afraid you were a goner. Praise GOD for you and Steve.

    Volume Control for Whites MXT

No, I do not own a MXT. It looks like no one here has modified their MXT in this way. I would suggest trying. Like you say, headphones do this. Potentiometers are cheap enough to buy both 1K and 10K. If you are proficient enough to solder one in, you are proficient enough to go back to the...

    Volume Control for Whites MXT

A 10k potentiometer in one of the speaker wires should work. A logarithmic taper would be better than a linear one in this instance.

Interesting Frequencies discovered on the Deus 2

It was also interesting to see the default smf numbers for the different programs and how far they are spread apart. It really wasn't much of a surprise when set for 14 high, the transmit frequencies were the same across the board.

    Here’s the scoop:

You can remove black by placing the item on aluminum foil in a pan with boiling water and dumping some baking soda on the item. I did that with a St. Christopher's silver cross. It took about an hour but it did remove the black quite well.
