    pin pointing with DD coil

I am sure this topic has been thoroughly discussed. I have been off the forum many months and now getting back into treasure hunting. I have very little luck in pin pointing an object with my AT Pro DD coil. I am never very close on the first dig. I have tried finding the spot and turning 90...

    target sound

I have not gotten used to the sound of a good target in the pro mode. I seem to never get a good clear sound. Even on a coin, the sound is scratchy or even gives the impression that it might be iron. Is this normal?

1st good long hunt with AT Pro

Spent about 4 hours hunting a soccer field today. My opinion on how good a detector is, is based on how stable the machine is and how quiet the hunt. My AT Pro ground balance real easily. I was amazed at how quiet the machine was. I hunted about 1/2 of the soccer field, which is fairly new...

    Water machine for inland lakes?

I have been planning to pick up a Garrett Sea Hunter Monday. Now I am having second thoughts. Our lakes have either rock bottoms or hard clay like bottoms. Things do not sink deep like in the sand on the coast. Am I messing up by purchasing a Sea Hunter since I will not be taking it to the...

    2500 is solid

Just to satisfy my curiosity, I have purchased the top of the line detector from another company and tried out others. They all have their good points but most have a big learning curve. But when I want to find silver, I can't be convinced that the Garrett with its notch discrimination and...

    Got my V3...,,,,,:clapping:,,Reading to do,,:wiggle:

Tim.....You cannot read the manual or watch the video enough. Every time you read the manual it gets clearer, but the absoute best thing you can do, after reading the manual, is copy Beep's program on your computer. Run off copies and delve deep into the expert menu. The more you study the...

    Back on the forum

I have not been on this forum since my wife took seriously ill in October. Glad to see the old names that are still here. I have two questions. First - Would some of you give me your changes or new settings for the coin mode, coin and jewelry mode, or special set ups you have in your...

rdizzle......I had the same problem with the D2 coil that came with my V3. With the 6 X 10, 4 X 6 and the 5.3 coil, I have no problems......Coach

    V3 WORTH IT?

I love the machine. It is fun learning all the adjustments and possibilities it affords you. I pick up small pieces of foil and aluminum slaw that I would have missed with my old detector. Good or bad? If it means that I will eventually find some gold that I would not have found with my old...

    Program spreadsheet

Beep.....I had restored all programs, got a check mark on each, but they still had the wrong VDI's. Went back in and restored Common and all the VDI's went back to where they were supposed too. Thanks......Coach

    Program spreadsheet

Beep......Been messing with this in expert menu. Now all my accepted VDI numbers are the same in all programs.0-95. Restored each program with the library copy. All have a check mark in front, but still all have the same accepted range. What have I done?....Coach C

    Rejecting a particular trash item?

If you are hunting in a particular mode and get tired of a particular type of junk, can you easily tell your detector to quit picking up that VDI number? Do you have to go into the menu and find the number and uncheck it?......Coach

    Display screen?

Thank you. I guess, if I had read my manual more thoroughly I would have known this. This machine is, at the present time, a real shock to my small learning abilities. A lot of fun learning though.....Coach
