Nokta Triple Score and Minelab Elite tested on the Beach in salt water.

Yeah, they all seem to be obsessed with heavy submersible open web coils. Great for hunting around water but for dry land and in forest type areas they are a pain being unnecessarily heavy and getting caught up in sticks and undergrowth. The Nox was ok in gold mode when I had it but ridiculous...

Nokta Triple Score and Minelab Elite tested on the Beach in salt water.

Is a common issue these days with the modern design of a pod, screen control box, no rear battery box to counter balance things and heavy submersible coils. I had a Nox 800 and found it too fatiguing. The coil felt like lugging around a brick after several hours. There's a big difference between...

    On/Off button

I had an AlgoForce that the dual purpose buttons annoyed me. I'd quick press yet now n then it would respond like id done a long press and go into something or do something I didn't want it to. The dual purpose buttons and the issues I had saw me lose confidence in it overall and I got rid of it.

GOOD MERCY HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO FIND THIS NUGGET

The Welcome Stranger Nugget from Moliagul Victoria Australia. Found in the 1800s just 15 minutes drive from where I live. "Considered by most authorities to be the biggest gold nugget ever found, the Welcome Stranger was found at Moliagul, Victoria, Australia in 1869 by John Deason and Richard...

    Anyone else got an AlgoForce?

    New Nokta PI

Hi yes you are correct. But the whole thing with the Algo was affordable for everyone. Now after saying that it isn't a crazy price machine like Minelab and Garrett PIs. Its down with second hand Minelab 4500's and 5000's. On most gold here, iv owned them all, a 4500 will kick it on 75% of the...

    New Nokta PI

Hi. I have an AlgoForce and wish it was waterproof as over the past week I was stopped early when out due to light showers. Not having wireless headphones is a pain too.

    Yellow Stuff

Hi. I owned the 24k with both DD and the little concentric. Very good machine. I just recently sold it and got an Algo Force 1500 PI. Id back the 24k as the best VLF to date for gold.

    Need help with identification.

Looks for all the world like a Chinese Jade medallion. They can be worth quite a good bit of money. Shame the damage, but if it is one it could still be valuable.

    X-terra 705 still a great machine in 2023

Hi. The 705 is the best of the older Xterra range for sure. I also have a Garrett 24k these days which I use on the gold and am waiting on a wait list for a new AlgoForce E1500, 3 weeks to go for it thereabouts which is a newly released PI gold detector. But I will never part with the 705 for...

    X-terra 705 still a great machine in 2023

Hi iv used one for gold plenty of times. The 18.75 khz coils are the go for it. I use mine now for relic hunting and coins but I can say it is a decent little gold machine. When it first came out I used it a lot on the Victorian Goldfields here in Australia. It was is great on specimens. These...
