    V3i Rain Cover

Thanks for the responses. I actually saw the screens you can replace on the V3i for $6. I actually worry more about the V3i box under the arm. It has a vented area on top for, I am guessing, the speaker(?) I been out 1 day and already had a nice layer of dust on the box and can just imagine what...

    New Season + New V3i

I been picking around here and there in bad weather since New Years. Finally got a day with no snow... AND it was actually sunny and pleasant here in Pennylvania, USA, Earth. I was out a few hours, just mostly running through the programs, and options, of my new V3i. Hit an old foundation and...

    V3i Rain Cover

I just got a rain cover for my V3i. Not really for the rain as much as to prevent the screen from getting scratched. I got it to match my Etrac and AT Pro covers. I had a hard time finding a good one. Lot of the big dealers don't even carry them for the V3i. I went back to my old standby. A...

Awesome 18k Gold ring with the first day out with 12x15 sef.

Sweet! Glad to know the 12x15 SEF does great! I was thinking of some options for my new V3i. I had a SEF 12x15 on a T2 I had, and it was amazing on that detector as well. Different detector, but I remember the depth and seperation were fantastic.

    I am getting a V3i!! Coils?

I just picked up a new V3i with wireless headphones for $1600 at KellyCo. PLUS Whites is having Bonus Bucks days! I get an additional $200 in Whites stuff from the V3i! I used the $200 Bonus Bucks for a 4x6 coil, coil cover, and Whites detector bag. Good deal at $1600 for all that stuff I think!

    V3i...yeah, I finally got a White's

The Etrac does a lot of things automatically. It basically sets itself up automatically for everything and the ground/conditions. No ground tracking, it picks the best of 28 frequencies, adjusts the sensitivity, etc. Great preprogrammed search patterns too. Minelab did a great job at this and it...

    This is the V3i machine?!?

I just got in my brand new V3i with wireless headphones today. I am not 'brand loyal' to any company. I am 'performance loyal'. I have never had a White's machine and kinda skipped over them for the other detectors at different performance/$$$ levels over and over. It seemed to be the 'yeah...

    addition to my arsenal

I just got in the latest addition to my arsenal! A new V3i and wireless headphones! Here's the baby picture next to her 2 sisters..Etrac and AT Pro. I messed with it a little and it's pretty darn impressive! I have passed over the White's machines many times in favor of other brands and...

    V3i...yeah, I finally got a White's

Got a new V3i and wireless headphones coming in....should be here in a few days! I have been hammering the ground for the last year with my Etrac and AT Pro. Before that, I have had a lot of other detectors, some top-of-the-line, but never owned a White's for some reason. The V3i always...

    out of the Chaos...a V3i...

I have not been posting or on much.... at least compared to the last year. Nor have I been out detecting much (although in the northeast, it is rough this time of the year). I took a promotion/relocation from Indiana, PA back to the 'burbs of Piuttsburgh, PA. What was crazier was that I...

Indiana, PA to Beaver County, PA

I recently took a job promotion/relocation to Beaver County, PA, about 2 hours from where I live now, in Indiana, PA..... starting on 1/6/13. I also should be on here a lot since I will be staying in a hotel and have plenty of time to blog...LOL. When I talked to the hotel manager, when I...

"that detector is only a good back-up"

Friend who just got an ACE350 a few months ago was told, by another detectorist who has been hunting for a long time and has some of the tops of the line machine, "YOUR ACE350 IS ONLY A GOOD BACK-UP DETECTOR, THAT IS ALL IT'S WORTH".... He was actually more concerned than upset, luckily. It...

    Iron Cross

Went out metal detecting near an area of old 1900 houses and big old trees. I found a few old coins, nothing impressive, just some newer wheaties. I found this iron cross about 6" down. It was totally encrusted but I could make out the shape. After starting to scrub and work the crust off, I am...

    anything in Fisher's works?

Anything new from Fisher in the works? Why I am asking this of Fisher? Minelab just came out with it's CTX3030, Garrett found it's AT Pro niche recently, White's has the cool CoinMaster GT now, and even though I am a Etrac/AT Pro user, I had an Fisher F2 and Teknetics T2 (similar to an F75)...

    post-hurricane beach run

I am off work tomorrow afternoon (wednesday) and don't have to be back at work til Saturday afternoon. From mid PA, I was thinking about heading out to the east coast shore for detecting (5-6 hour drive), as I am sure there will be a lot of beaches primed with stuff from the ships sunk off the...

across the green came the Borough Manager....

I was hunting the nice fall day in a central park in the next county over in a small little town. The town that has been around sicne the early 1800's and everyone knows everyone. It was about my 6th hunt there, since finding it, and totalled hundreds of coins, the oldest a 1865. I took my GF...
