The art of plug cutting a thing of the past??

Right now I use the Phoenix shovel and cut plugs. The plugs are mostly 4~5" in diameter and once replaced one can hardly see where the plug was dug. Question is; does the plug kill the grass; my personal observation is that it's less of a grass killer than those dug with a hand trowel/shovel.

    Continues to Amaze

That's the very reason I decided to save $130; Coverage ISN'T a requirement, separation of Targets IS. 6" coil is just the ticket for this 78 year old.

Totally agree. I entertained the idea of the LG24 but talked myself out of it. This 6" coil is awesome!!!

    Continues to Amaze

6" Coil and the targets were 5~6" deep and faint. I assume the fact that the sound was somewhat muted was due to the other targets surrounding the coin. A small nail and a Beaver tail were also in the plug.

    Continues to Amaze

The more I use the Legend the more I like it's feel and sounds, not to mention the finds. I hunted at my local Park yesterday and found ~ a dozen coins. Nothing remarkable about that except that 4 of the targets were "weak" sounding and VDI said they were 5~6" deep. I was running 27...

Some things to know about our recent problems with trolls and treatment of other users.

Pestilential perfectly describes the Ogre from the far North. He is one of the WIT's for sure (Dim or Half), you choose. Avoid interaction, he'll just drag you down to his level. AND those are the GOOD points.

Some things to know about our recent problems with trolls and treatment of other users.

I find ANY pseudo-intellect such as the "SAGE" from the north to be repulsive. And I might add that applies to several south of our north border. When one "thinks" they are making salient observations and espouses such they tend to be babbling's of a fool. That's my salient observation.

I find Steve (can)'s posts insulting and fraught with troubling dribble, but I'd never report him; at least not yet.

    Christmas gift to myself!

Went out with my Legend for a couple of hours yesterday. I've had the Legend for about 8 months and it's a delight to use. It can be as simple or as complex as you wish to make it(tuning the detector). I have been detecting for over 45 years now and this detector is hands down the best I've...
