    Not A sewing needle. Was in this open position but can be inserted in to the end. Rang up 40-41 on legend. Found at site dates from 1790s-1920s

    Was at OBX also but down the island where the NPS will lock you up in a skinny minute detecting. What a waste to detectorist bout the only ones that will pick up trash.

    Has Pat. date Dec. 21 1888. Unable locate patent number. I believe the one part swivels down. Maybe a garter clip. Kinda heavy though. Think brass.

    Actually found Shermans notes or writings online that they camped several days Hanging Rock due to Flooding rains. Hopefully they did spread out the permissions northern border is on hanging rock creek. Probably be December before able to hunt it.

    Trigger Finger Ailment At Least Doesn't Bother My Detecting...To Much

    Anyone out there had treatment for trigger finger. Both hand ring fingers are locking up. Anyone had shot or surgical treatment. Imagine this might be a common ailment for us folks.

    Yes I found an 1852 large cent plus half dozen flat buttons. Have dated to late 1700s all the way up to a 1919 wheatie. Bricks galore structure long gone heavy woods now. Now gonna start to probe and look for a dump site has got to be a nice one somewhere in the gullies leading to the creek area.

    Couple other finds from old school house long gone but steps about half mile from the button location. 1937 Indian Nickle. Slote & Klein buckle and a BIG 4 overalls button. School was there late 1800s to 1930s. I love it.
