    Coin Star today

Value wise, this has been my best find at a coin star but I did get another haul last September that out weighed this one. $11.45 in assorted coins.

    Coin Star today

I took my wife to Walmart to pick up a few things and heading toward the exit I stopped to check the coin star as I always do. I saw some coins in the tray but I also noticed about 10 dimes laying on the floor. All total there was $13.60 in dimes and 4 pennies. Two of the dimes were 62 and 64...

Some more relics from my brothers

Here are two frames that were left to me. The second frame is of 21 .69 cal and 4 .58 cal bullets that were found in the same hole near Antietam battle field. The two U S buckles in the first frame were found on the same hunt by two of my brothers.

A little backstory on some of my relics. I m the last of five brothers and inherited what was left of their collections. A lot were sold by my last brother to make ends meet. I understand his doing that, I just wish he would have given me first shot at buying them. A good part of what s left was...

    Older finds

I have finds from 50 years ago along with three of my brothers relics that I inherited. They range from the late 1700s up to WWII and a few later. Also, they have been found with different detectors and I don't remember what relics were found with what detector.

    My dance with Covid

I went to my doctor today and had a chest X-ray that showed there was no scarring in my lungs. The Dr, gave me some samples of an inhaler called Breztri to try, I was coughing so bad the muscles in my upper legs ached! I took one dose of two puffs when I got home and immediately started feeling...

Any military button experts out there?

Both buttons that have been posted are too corroded to show the correct detail Here is a picture of the 1902-10 style, 1910-1927 style and post 1927 style. The last one is a black finished button that dates from 1910-1923. Some of the black has worn off.

Any military button experts out there?

I think it is a U S Army "Great Seal" button. They were first issued in 1902. It looks like yours had a raised rim so that would date it no earlier than 1910 ehwn the rim was added. If it has a rounded rim it would date 1910-1927. If the rim is more angular it would date post 1927. These buttons...

    My dance with Covid

I had Covid in mid January and still have the cough and can't take a deep breath. My doctor put me on Prednisone and Doxycyclene(spelling) two weeks ago but it didn't help much. I have another appointment with him on the 7th of this month.

    what Am I

I agree with Dave-Ut. A hook used to button shoes and maybe gloves. https://www.google.com/search?q=shoe+button+hooks&client=firefox-b-1-d&sxsrf=APq-WBu6gVijdano0RDJHwtrPUI0qy-pUQ:1646018508692&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiR8IPkuKH2AhUKn-AKHQYeCdIQ_AUoAnoECAEQBA&biw=1920&bih=927&dpr=1
