    All Metal Threshold Question.

I really like using All Metal on the T2 but one thing that bugs me a bit is the threshold. It is impossible to get a smooth Threshold unless the Hum is raised up to two. On my White's and Minelab detectors, the threshold holds a smooth tone if it's properly balanced. Is this just a...

    CW General Service Eagle Button

Only two finds today, a flat button and a CW era button. The flat button was also a small 14mm button like the CW button, but the flat button was a full 10 inches down! The T2 had no problem and gave a solid, repeatable tone! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XcX0yY4G8g

What settings do you use with your T2?

Here is what I was using for a while, Sens=80 Disc=20 Tones= 2+ Then I switched to All Metal for sites that have a lot of ground debris...stubble, twigs and branches, etc. All Metal Hum =0-1 Sensitivity =80 Auto GB I had been using the Settings above for a while and been very happy, but my...

I never would have dug this if I was using my V3i.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYSJbKIjhYM There are a lot things I like about the V3i, but the one thing I can say for sure is that no other detector on the market can tell junk from good targets like the V3i can. I was using the Teknetics T2, which is a great detector, but it's no V3i!

    Firmin & Langdale Livery Button

Still pulling buttons out of my favorite site 7 years later! Here is my latest outing. No coins this time, but I know there are more waiting! The Firmin & Langdale BM dates this one from 1812-1823.

T2 SE in All Metal Mode: Button Mania!

One of my favorite sites had a new section cleared out recently, so I was anxious to get to parts that were previously overgrown with my T2 SE. Unfortunately, even though it was cleared out, there is stubble everywhere so it is really difficult to swing the coil. I tried Boost mode and some of...

Question about mounting Delta 4000 pod on G2 or Omega Rod.

This is a rough translation of a question I was asked from an Italian Teknetics user. "know if you can put the screen of the delta 4000 teknetics rod of g2 or omega 8000??"

Finally a place for Finds! Here are my most recent from an old mill site.

October is the kickoff of the MD season for me. The heat, poison ivy mosquitoes and ticks are gone, the vegetation is receding. I hadn't been back to this spot in over a year but wanted to try out my newest detector at the site, a Teknetics T2 SE. These were all found in a 30x30 foot area.

    Ground balancing

When the tone evens out (It stops rising and falling) it is properly ground balanced.

    You can't win them all!

I made this short video as a joke for a friend, and even though it turned out to be a deep iron target, it is still a good demonstration of a mixed iron/medium depth target using 2+ Tones. Next time I get out with the T2 I'll try use a different tone setting. I should add that I tried dP on...

Hope for NJ Shore Detecting: Follow Up Post

I thought it would be only fair to post another photo from Cape May NJ. This shows an old "beaver tail" pulltab style can sitting on top of the sand. No doubt it had been buried for decades, so there has been a lot of movement of the sand. It should make for an interesting winter for those...

Doesn't look promising for post storm Jersey Shore detecting!

This was taken a few hours back in Cape May NJ by a friend of a friend. As you can see, there is about 8 feet of sand on the street. Some storms add sand, while others take it out to sea. It may be days before anyone is allowed back to their shore homes, and beach access may be limited for weeks.
