Anybody else having trouble with Xchange2?

"It is also possible to extract the GPS data directly from the CTX 3030 or the GPZ 7000 without using the XChange2 application if you require the GPS Data for other applications.” That would be great. I wonder how?

Anybody else having trouble with Xchange2?

After experiencing problems as well, especially to access FP's through Xchange2, I contacted Minelab and they sent me a "work around" measure that works fine, at least for me it does. I'm sure they won't mind if anyone else tries using it: "David Thanks for you call. To get you up and running...

    Kangaroo Coin

Is ther a pctuue Hi dan h, Was there supposed to be a picture in your post? Don't see one. Sounds like the Mini Roo (Year?) at 0.5 g gold. Hopefully it is indeed 99.99% pure gold as they say it is at Perth Mint, given the latest controvesy regarding the purity of some of the Perth Mint gold.

Doubts over Manticore 50% extra power.

That was the Explorer line. The claim was also on page 6 that the Explorer punched deeper than single frequency metal detectors. Proven to be untrue by another metal detecting company from the UK.

    Changing the CTX Brake Pads

Well done with a solution to the problem. I'm a big fan of self help solutions that, so long as they work and get the job done, then so be it.

    The Old SE Is Sick

Hi K.B. Do this at your own risk. I hope it helps you out. Remove the battery. Open the control box (look for the 4 screws that it has to keep it together). Carefully separate by prying them from each other the PCB’s that are attached to each other by the connecting pins. Check if the gold pins...

    Minelab Pro-Swing 45 question

What are your beliefs about metal detector? Old Tech VS New?

calabash digger, you say it so well. Getting the best "mouse trap". Metal detecting technology needed to and has evolved. For me as well, getting a metal detector has only ever been about embracing the technology that can find the "good" buried metal objects in the punishing and worst soil...

    Explorer 2 repair parts

Hi Dan (MN), You say you are trying to revive an EX 2 and want to replace the pin array. I went through such an exercise some 20 years ago on the pins on both sides of that circuit board. I’m not a “master craftsman” when it comes to soldering or de-soldering but I got around the same problem of...

    Anyone knows?

Hi au hunter Based on the pictures you've put up and what seems like a hex nut in the similar location and similar in design , I'm seeing an old inner tube truck tyre valve stem.

    Super modified CTX?

IF you are unaware of this, I hope these links help you out. I think it's a good reference to start with dismantling the CTX-3030 and helps out to see what you would need to do to achieve a chest mounted display, electronics and battery pod. https://parts.minelab.com/category-s/117.htm For...

Almost completed Explorer 2 chestmount mod.

Hi stoneshirt, You may need to replace the control panel entirely. I think that it’s easiest and best solution if you are not aware how to modify or repair. New control panels for the Explorer are available for sale on line. It's a realtively easy process of remving an replacing it...

A wireless, in-line Pinpointer for Equinox

So I sent the request to Minelab. If enough of us ask, it may inspire them to make such a hand held pin-pointer. Maybe someone else can also mention ( I forgot to) for it to be an option to use it as an inline pinpointer for the Equinox but just as useful on it's own as a handheld pinpointer...
