    New F-75 Question

Cinspader has got you going in the right direction. Being that you are new to this machine and doing a lot button pushing and knob turning trying to figure out the machine. I would suggest you go to the bottom of page 10 in the manual and learn how to do a Reset to the detector. Until you get...

    Coils.

Sure, de tuning is the name I gave it but in the manual on page 24 the official name is Narrow It Down. In case you don't have a manual here is what it says. Narrow It Down To further narrow the field of detection, position the searchcoil near the center of the response pattern (but not at the...

    Coils.

Try de tuning while over your target to the center of the coil. I am heading to church in a couple of minutes, but if you need help with how to de tune let me know. Ron in WV

    Some Etrac Questions

The coils on your coil cable is too large. I used a cooking skewers stick, or other small 1/8" diameter dowel rod about a foot or more long. Run the stick through all the coils on cable, I used a wire tie to latch the coil end of the cable to the stick tight. Then take the connector end of the...

Question! Is the E-Trac really the best coin detector?

So the E-Trac is slow, I am using the long sounds setting which is about as slow as it gets. So if I hit a silver coin it sounds off at a normal swing speed, so my coil is a few inches past the target. All I need to do is back up a few inches and find the target and do a little pin pointing and...

    Magic coins program

Just send Elmy a PM, he may want an email address to send the info to you. Once you get everything and maybe loaded on your E-Trac and a little yard testing I would suggest some questions sent to Elmy or you can post out here for all to see. who knows I may jump in there with a few answers. I am...

    Magic coins program

Folks that still have a E-Trac, you need to give Elmy's magic a try. it works just like he says. I have been running the E-Trac since 2017 and I was on line reading and looking for some settings and patterns and trying what I find. I was about to give up and I hooked up with Elmy, and at first...

Question! Is the E-Trac really the best coin detector?

I have been running a F75 in my area since 2010 and I am on my 3rd F-75 now and it is the Ltd and upgraded when the offer came out. I still have the F-75 Ltd. I also have a number of coils for it, like the 5"DD, 3.5 x 6.5 concentric, the stock 11"DD, a 5x10" DD and a 10" concentric coil. Now I...

Question! Is the E-Trac really the best coin detector?

All that Monkeys Uncle is true, but there is a short cut if you wanted to hook up with Elmy on the forum. He can give you settings and disc patterns that will get you running the E-Trac like a pro. I can say I don't know the machine you are running now so I can't say how it will compare with...

    MAGIC ?????

Fizzled, this magic stuff is going to explode as the word gets out. I know I have been using it full time for about a year now and it really does work for coin hunting. Now with that said cold weather was setting in last year when I started getting the hang of the magic and I had to stop...

    Short evening hunt

Today I found myself with a couple of hours in the evening to hunt, so I loaded up and head to the park in town. Kind of a said story, I was hunting I noticed a squirrel laying in front of me, I went right up to him gave a good look and he was dead, so I thought I would pitch him out of the way...

    My brother and I.....

I am sticking with the item in the first picture on the left being a cosmetic brush and tube holder. If you look there is crimp line about a 1/4 way up from the 2 finger handle end. Put in the oil with the other it should come open pretty easy. Hope you will post when you find out. Ron in WV

    My brother and I.....

Just a wild guess, the one pictured on the far left is a ladies make-up brush and holder. I would say that if you pulled it apart you can tell for sure. The item pictured in the middle is a lipstick tube, which I also think comes apart and you could see the shade she liked. That one on the right...

How many remember the very first detector you started the hobby with and how long ago ??

Jetco 1975, I had all 5 that they had in the store. As soon as I got each I took them to a creek and put the so called water proof coil in the water it was gone. I keep taking them back until they ran out of detectors and had to settle for a bicycle. Ron in WV

Brass piece with logo of an S inside of a circle in the middle of a 4-pointed design (flower?)

Just a guess, but it looks like some kind of latch handle or a key. That flat arm that comes off that rounded arm at the top of the picture looks like it would key into another part of a latch that is missing. Just something to think about. Really nice find, Ron in WV

Etrac old school or is it 🤔

I don't have any idea if Minelab is thinking about a E-Trac II but for me it is the E-trac original. I just can't seem to think that jumping way up to a CTX 3030 would be a good spend of my few dollars. I bought me a well used backup for my bought new E-Trac and I hope between the 2 of them...
