    Not all detectors will do well with Canadian "clad" coins!!!! I found over the years, these work the best-- and popular in Canada Non-metered machines: Was a well kept secret. Tesoro detectors with the 180ED discrimination. Deeptech Vista X will match the Tejon, if using the smaller 6x8 coil...

    Means the search coil is not connected. What version software is your Simplex? What coil are you using? Older software will not function with the newer size search coils. If that is the problem you will need to update the software

    If you don't want the paint to scrape off, do it right. Go get some aluminum primer spray paint in a can. Then get Marine outboard motor spray paint. Unless you have compressor and spray guns..........

    Tried my Simplex for the first time yesterday

    The Simplex should have been offered with a smaller coil than the 11" supplied. For most N. American people it is too large. But, in Europe it's a pretty standard size coil they like using for hunting relics and deeper treasures. Best bet is the 8.5" round coil if you need just a bit more depth...
