Does Garrett plan on releasing new Whites products

Agreed about the build quality. I will miss Whites toughness. 30 plus years ago, all the detector companies built their machines like tanks. Today, everyone is demanding reduced weight. Unfortunately, plastic is thinned out and one minor drop or bang on a rock has bad consequences.

Does Garrett plan on releasing new Whites products

My preference was the DFX. This machine was certainly capable and has many performance options that can be tweaked. But, certainly has a learning curve to it. One needs to spend a lot of time with the higher end Whites machines. I stopped using them as their machines are to heavy for old arms...

Does Garrett plan on releasing new Whites products

The pictures that I’ve seen of the current 24k have both the Whites and Garrett name on the faceplate. So I doubt there are any refinements or changes. As for future models, there is a computer chip shortage going on. It could take many years to straighten that out. Lets Go Brandon

Thanks for the info. I just ordered the mini recycling sluice. Been also thinking about the desert fox. Believe the spiral wheel may process materials faster?

The new fisher gold bug 2

Thank you Sir. I ask for no pity. We just hope to be a little bit inspirational to others. Some cannot understand how my wife is such a positive person, going through what she has to endure. As she explains, there’s nothing one can do about the tribulations that you have to go through. Put your...

The new fisher gold bug 2

A life lesson. Darned near lost my life this year from an aortic aneurysm. “Better get busy living, or get busy dying”. I’ve learned that life’s short. My wife has cancer, so we are constantly at the cancer treatment center. What amazes me is how many youngsters are going through chemo and...

The closet queen scorpion came out of hiding today🤣

My very first detector was in my high school years, late 70’s. Didn’t have much time for it, as girls were on my brain😁

The closet queen scorpion came out of hiding today🤣

Yes Sir. The best days of this hobby we’re back in the 80’s and 90’s. We were viewed as “geeks” or “nerds” who looked for treasure with those contraptions. The hobby was truly blossoming because men like Charles Garrett were passionate about this hobby. Organized hunts were everywhere. I used...

The new fisher gold bug 2

It’s a double sickness for sure. Gold fever and detector fever🤣. This is my third Gold Bug. There are two bugs in my collection, and had the original 30 years ago. Beautiful machines they are.

Bandido or Silver Sabre which one to keep?

I’d keep them both. Seller’s remorse comes to mind😁.

The closet queen scorpion came out of hiding today🤣

We moved back to Arizona 1 year ago. Have done some prospecting with the gold bug with limited results. Have decided to resurrect the old Scorpion and use it just for fun and recollection. Got on line today and actually found a 3x7 new coil for the old machine. Couldn’t resist, had to purchase...

The future of Whites metal detectors

Yep, you are correct in that Garrett just relabeled the Whites 24k. Whites was a great brand. Their machines were just as competitive as other worthy brands. Just like me, age has a way of eliminating competitiveness 🤣😂. Hate to see them go as I have seen many detector companies go out of business.

    What happened to Tesoro?

I miss both Tesoro and Whites. The Tesoros were a joy to use if you wanted simplicity. Made my very best finds with both Tesoro and a Whites DFX. Now, our options are certainly dwindling as there are only a few American manufacturers. Don’t know if Garrett will ever revive the Whites brand...
