    Great, last question if I'm not bugging you, does the unit automatically scan those frequencies the coil is able to operate, or is the operator adjusting the unit to specific frequencies either manually or through preset menu hunting choices, or.... Thanks for the info

    So the coils are like that of an X-Terra705, each specific to the frequency they are designed? Or same coil just change the frequency on the unit or coil? The Deus is all new to me, and I'm still talking about the ORX model

    I heard the opposite, from several Deus owners, the XP sure, the ORX they said they wouldn't hit a dog in the A** with, it only competes with all the mid to low lever coin hunters, biggest complaint is lack of controls and lowest frequency isn't all that low...what I heard:unsure:

    Go with replacement E-Trac upper and lower shafts and a Pro coil, will be a deep deep killer beast, you will wear out a shovel lol.

    Best Explorer Book

    If you have an early Explorer, S-XS, this book od Andy's is better than the Explorer/E-Trac book for Explorer users. I have both and found this one invaluable.

    Not sure if you're an ebay person or not, was a few reasonable priced ones there as of recent, and I saw a few ultimate's for sale used from various metal detecting forums.

    personally, for a good used one, low hours, well maintained, no issues, I'd personally pay between 550 to 750 on a case by case, on one with warranty left(less than 3 yrs old), upwards to 900, obviously, accessories can make it worth more, but only if those accessories are ones you might...

    Not sure if they will, but as I read the rules, they're not forum sponsors, but the sponsors don't sell the same items so there's no conflict in interest....gray area?? I think if it was a problem they might have chimed in already, I threw it out there as I was letting them know I wss not...
