    Explorer xs coil compatible

Are the xterra's coils compatible with the explorer xs? I found a good price xs from ebay and I have bought it and I was wondering if my xterra's coils could do on the xs cause I have the 15'' coiltek and this could be interesting using it to xs. Thanks for any ideas.

    New sef 10x12 arrived

I used no cover on the 10dd and and it's gone now guys, you better use a cover it is just a 2 or something mm thick and you can rub it a bit on soil if it's believed you loose depth.

    issues with v3i and 15x12sef

My 10x12 sef coil had a similar problem a week ago, it would n't pick up anything but cold rocks and cans at 2''. So I shifted to the 10dd and everything was fine. Tried it back again and no response on coins at any range. So a couple of days after I tried it again and it is fine since then. I...

    Interference V3i

Three frequencies with salt compensate helps a lot with emi and false signals. I worked under power lines and I had to do something cause a lot of interference so I changed to salt compensate and ceased from all these sorts of emi and falsing. And you can raise sensitivity as well when salt...

    VX3 Frequencies

If you use just one frequency the detector uses all of its power to the frequency you use so it will be more sensitive when uses one but all of them they can go as deep if of course individually they could penetrate the ground with the meaning that each freq for specific targets. 22.5 small...

Settings for a faster sweep speed?

Recovery delay would change the effect of longer beep on the detector and shorter beep. That means longer beep slow recovery and shorter beep faster recovery. If you have a slow it will make more time responding on a target and it might get a deeper target better and a fast when you are in a...

What setting could make a v3i ID incorrectly?

There is a setting you might touched that converts the traditional id to a ''normalized'' id. You have to mess a bit further with the detector and your manual where it is explained in it. It is a check and unchecked box with the word normalize next to it. I can't remember where it is now but...

    New sef 10x12 arrived

I finally have got my sef 10x12 sef coil works fine air tested 15rx discrimination 85 no overload indoors. I found a small quarter just under a guns' shell a couple of days ago and I am confident this coil will get more things from the ground. It is not heavy at all and it's the v rated white...

Which coil do you like better on the V3i, the D2 or Eclipse 950?

I have noticed that concentric and smaller coil more sensitive with low conductivity targets. Although it is a bit hard to work in a ground with high deposits in iron. 9.50 Concentric can do a better work with jewelry and surface targets and it is more stable at the beach.

    V3i Hot rock rejection setting

I 'd like to inform a bit here the newbies about this setting cause I know it would be a kind of confusing how to use it and it really can help with false signals and effects the smallest targets to be detected rather from being masked from cold rocks. HRR it is very helpful when used in a...

V3I very faint tones at times?//

it's modulation probably on a low setting, higher setting its going to be better distinguishing deeper targets.

    New programe for v3i created

It is a concentric so I can't say. Just try it and keep sensitivity where it can be stable.

    New programe for v3i created

Hi there pastfinder1, you are right the tone setting is not what I really meant, it is a two tone program 140 for Iron and 210 for accepting targets but strange way how I confused with my writing the preset "shifted". Robert is right, The high gain setting helped me a lot with deep silver and...

Sound vs VDI, which do you prefer

In other words you can just cherry pick from what your detector says better cause when it is too deep is where you might find more convenient a deeper detector. I dig the constants and I hunt with audio.

    Short recovery Delay

Yes I do but the reason I was here is to see how people are working with v3i since my detector was made here as well. Thanks any way for advice. It has been a year already to understand the detector but it was fun. Thanks again.

    Short recovery Delay

I am using short recovery for quite some time now cause a post from UK , they are using short recovery there and it's very helpful. V3i was better detector with this delay and today I tried consistency and it is even better. Thanks Rob at least we came up with a nice setting. I found my self a...

    Manual ground balance/autotrac

You are doing right. If too noisy drop sensitivity a bit. If too quiet raise a bit 'tiil you run it hot enough. I use locktrack and off setting +10 or even more. Sometimes I Run off setting +25. Hope that helps.
