    Vaqureo & the 3x18

Got a used 3x18 coil from Richard at Backwoods (great to deal with) this looked almost new, so I tried it out at a park ,ran in super tune at above 5c mark , knocked out quarters at 8in-dimes at 9 max. Medium moisture dirt, mild ground-medium sweep speed. Those of you with previous experience...

    DaveNV a OK Guy

Got DaveNV'S Bandito UMAX great condition-after seeing this "old machine" in such good shape compared to my detectors, I got to wonder if i'm to hard on this stuff.

Depth of V3I and finding gold / silver

I'd have to agree with CyberSage I still have my DFX because of the Bigfoot Coil they are a great match for certain targets, the V-3i gets used the most now. The color screen and other functions are great, a real cool experience to detect with the V-3i along with finding other targets others...

tdi is a deep stable machine for nuggrts and coins - rings in high min soil-dis the mxt-keep the v-3

A question about V3 MF depth vs...

I had used my infinium all day nugget hunting, (no nugs) at the end of the day I took out my V-3 just for a minimal ground test, just diddiling the settings and found a small 3dwt nugget @ 1 inch down (with the small coil)-go figure- I have the TDI it rocks-the v-3 I'll keep it's way out...

Anybody still use the bandito 2umax?

How does the 10khz bandito compare to a 14khz Vaqureo on a nickle target

    p.p.s Pulses per second rate

Is there any information on different machines with varying pulses per second rates and target pickup. I know this is a general question and does not take into account decay rate times.

Depth of V3I and finding gold / silver

The V-3 is the best all around detector out there- with the ability to be tweaked for custom use, a lot to learn yes, but once you master the settings for your hunt and environment you'll never look back at that DFX buried in the closet

    prospecting mode settings

Thank you for the input, my original thought was, that in a desert wash area this might work better, I too search stream beds and rivers and have come across to many obstacles where this would not be practical, random pan samples still maybe more efficient.

    prospecting mode settings

Any one used the prospecting advanced ground settings to moniter the soil- what do the settings mean? I used all three freq, nice colors but is there point.

Salt water sand ... low tide hunting ...

I'll agree with that, the V-3i works well in dry sand with excellent id and depth, I'll stick with my water proof PI in the tide water

    polar plot VS bottle tops

the audio in mixed mode stereo is a way cool feature if you can put up with the sounds, close targets iron/coin types that I had previously passed over in other modes or with another detector can be found. Try it in a less trashy area till you get used to the sound kaleidoscope.

Got the V-3 back as V-3i

Whites did a fine job upgrading my V-3, I had to pay the 125.00 but it was worth it. The D-2 coil runs smooth @ higher gain. Tried it out on a few factory settings in the park and it worked great. I had put off the upgrade for quite a while till I compared my V-3 to a friends V-3i , mine was...

kudos to those to the upgrade, paid the 125.00 it was worth it and whites fixed other stuff, great customer service

    polar plot VS bottle tops

Seems the polar plot ID's bottle caps better (CIRCULAR squiggly PATTERN) than the humps, but the humps I.D pull tabs better with dual mismatched humps. is this always the case?

    V3i 6X10 Coil- Need Input

The depth on this coil is less than the stock D-2, it s ok on target I.D, works well in high mineral soil, pinpoints good, usually the rx gain can be set a bit stronger than the D-2, I prefer the 300 loop for relic hunting , it may work in your soil
