    Silver day

Nice hunt, a 4 silver day is a banner day anymore. Yeah, on the 900. Its getting me silver where there shouldn't be any. It gets good depth and pretty outstanding on sniffing out goodies on co-located targets. HH jim tn

    Lawn mower dinged/cut coins

No, no, Big Tony, I wasn't implying its a brag thing. In fact, I like and enjoy seeing what people are finding. In my case when I made the decision to quit posting finds, I had had an attempted break in and thought perhaps I was posting so much someone local may have tracked me down even though...

    Lawn mower dinged/cut coins

For those of us that have been hunting for even a short period of time, it's not uncommon to recover lawn mower clipped, dinged and cut coins. I've recovered many over the years. Several of which, have been silver. In fact, my first Morgan dollar find had tangled with a lawn mower, but...

Found A 1938 Arizona Chauffeur Badge in town this Morning. Has anyone ever found one?

Yeah, fun find. I found a Memphis, Tn 1912 Carriage Chauffeur badge some years ago. At the time was offered $75. for it. Maybe should locate it and see what inflation has done to it. They are highly collectable, so worth researching. HH jim tn

Im apparently getting my religion mojo.

Good on the Religious medal(s), they are a neat find. I've found a goodly number of them over the years and far more for me are not silver then are. Thinner pieces, like many of the medals are, when silver do have a tendency to blacken in places. Fun to find! HH jim tn

Need some thoughts on this ring!

Doesn't quite have that silver look. Silver from the ground typically cleans up nicely with a soap and water rinse. Looks like some flaking on the edges.....but, get it checked as tough to tell from pictures. Whatever, fun find! HH jim tn

Good on the 1st Buff. The 900 is a grand nickel machine and also really does excel in a park setting environment. HH jim tn

So who is buying all these detectors ?

It just seems when ever there is a touch of new technology, like multi frequency, better target response options, a touch more depth, and the like, some of these old worn out sites still harbor and give up a few more oldies. It still boils down, though, to knowing your detector and hunting at a...
