Nox 800 coming in the mail.

I agree with Earthlypotluck that the ability to change the speed allows you to tailor the search mode to the site. Where I search there is tins of iron (old German fields used for 1000 years, with WW2 bomb shards to boot). I have seen how I can pull items out that others miss, obviously the...

Two broke coils in one day

I have had two coils replaced in the last 18 months. No problem at all. the Coiltek coils have to perpendicular pieces on each coil ear to strengthen it. Not sure why Minelab doesn't update their coils to include that, it stops the flexing which causes the break. Coiltex also have a 2-year...

2 18kt gold rings within 3 feet of each other wow!

We all have to realize that our good fortune is only possible by someone else's misfortune. Sunday was that day for me I was at a farm stand flower site looking for Euro coins, when I got a signal (18-19) that looked like a Euro 10 cent coin. At the bottom of my 7 inch hole was a glint of...

Question? 800 on Salt Water Beaches?

Works great. I was hunting beaches in Italy this week (island of Elba) and had no problem. I use beach 1 on dry sand and beach 2 in water/wet sand. Really does a good job of canceling out iron/ black sand

Huge Coin spill from fountain cleaning in Melrose Fl- Go get the rest!

I drove through Melrose Florida today, and stopped to hunt the town park. Clearly had been hunted as I found only 2 pennies until...... I hit an area along the fence where the Nox went crazy! On closer inspection I saw coins sticking out of the ground. I've never dug so many coins in an hour...

    Nothing at St Augustine Beach

Out with the Nox and 15” Coiltek coil. Beach has been pounded hard, and two people out with detectors also. Seems to me there is way too much competition for crumbs at the beach in the US. I was digging much more in Europe and I never see another detector out on the beach. guy had Garrett out...

Not sure how much more since I'm just running it in the beach. It seems to be hot on little pieces of metal near the surface, parts of zippers, etc.

Got new 800 and Large Coiltek-old 800 being sold

I got the new 800 set up with the sweet Coiltek large coil. I am selling the old 800 because it is out of warranty, and I’ve already had 2 coils and the armrest replaced. Went to the beach in St Augustine and it sure goes deep!!!

    Any regrets?

I have found a dozen small low silver content (17-33%) coin in Germany that come up at 9-12 on the Nox. Small hammered also come up low. My gold coin was found behind someone working a Nokta, who was not digging signals in that range thinking they were "Junk". Even the early VLF machines found...
