    I hear what your saying, tho that would NOT be a deterrent for me. What's an extra 5-10 seconds at best to manually GB Plus I think you'll get a truer reading too... I'm more interested on how water-proof the detector truely is.. and that coil seems (to me) pretty damm big. Didn't look to see...

    Oh, the explorers were beasts of detecting machines. But as age kept creeping up the weight of the unit just got too great for hrs of hunting at a time. Can't wait to try the nox out on a salt beach. Nex summer some time.
