    Problems with Deus II

Yep sold my nox , simplex and still have my deus and ordered the deus II . Nox always felt flimsy til I spent alot more money on a carbon fiber shaft and lower rods. The control pod cracked so they replaced it under warranty, always worried about coil ears as they were flimsy, but never broke...

Looks like I will be getting a new dive detector...DEUS II

No I don't. I have a dealer I always use and since he ordered some I said put me on the list. I didn't ask what all comes with it. Don't care as I just wanna run it through some tests and see how it does in wet sand at the beach. I'm guessing January-March lol. Says it will be available in...

Tried the 9 inch HF coil

I just sold 3 deus coils and kept the 11" x35 . It separates just as good but gets better depth . Plus I beach hunt and wanted a little bigger coil to cover more ground.

    NOKTA MAKRO SMF LIVE LAUNCH

This is literally what wife and I did but in Alabama. 15-20 min from beaches, higher ground, 40 min from Florida beaches and 1 hour from Mississippi beaches. Don't dirt hunt near as often anymore. We almost bought a home in South Carolina but somehow ended up here.

Here I go again 😉 where are those NEL coils!!!

I read nokta makro said there will not be any Nel coils allowed to be made for simplex.

    Deus remote cover?

I ended up with nice leather one from UK. Fits great and has a clearer view of screen.

Is a Deus a good Car trunk Metal Detector?

Since you work in an office with a view overlooking the gulf now, just take your sparkling new Deus into the air conditioned office ;) it does get warm here don't it. Thank God for backphones!!

Discusted with the Deus MI-6 pinpointed

You have to set mi-6 on program 7 in order to use with remote. Only program it works on. Then I use program 3 for use with other detectors. 3 is high with tone and vibrate. 7 is the only program to pair with remote and headphones. Then all adjustments are made through remote. Works amazing.

Couple outings out with new Simplex

Nice report Jim. I too am finding the simplex pretty sweet . The stock coil goes deep. I've used many different detectors and to be honest the simplex is becoming a favorite. Can't wait for the Nokta Makro simultaneous multifrequency detector.

Looking for a backup wet sand machine

You can buy an RNB battery for the Vanquish detectors. Lasts forever on a charge. The s shaft feels so much better. Can use 8,10 or 12" coil. Is amazing on the beach in wet sand. Or wait for the Nokta Makro simultaneous multifrequency detector like I am :).

    Beach scoop recommendations.

I have the extreme titanium scoop with carbon fiber handle. Super light and strong. Buy one and done.

    Deus remote cover?

Ive got the same one. Don't like the glare. If the screen was easier to see it would be different but the remote has small print and any glare makes it worse for my eyes.

    Deus remote cover?

Does anyone use a remote cover? Just curious. Watching videos I see most don't use them. I've used them in the past but the remote is built so good it's hard to do too much damage.

    X35 vs low frequency coil.

The main benefit is stability but if the LF coil will allow you to use sensitivity up in the 90's with little to no EMI then no reason to buy an x35 coil. The LF coils have 4 main frequencies while x35 has 5 I believe. .

First time out with the simplex!

Reminds me of the deus too.. shaft is the same shape, field mode =pitch mode on deus, park 1 =deep mode and park 2=fast mode.
