Really don't like the WS6 headphones

!st time out today and I struggled with these headphones all day. Never felt comfortable with them, I'm used to the WS5's on my Deus 1. Lots of wind and wave noise. The BH01's look like they would fit better. Anyone tried the Grey Ghost, looking for feedback? The detector. worked fine...

Am i going to regret buying the Deus 2

I'm receiving mine soon. I'll hold off on the updates a bit. I'm not too worried about it, I have the D! and it's a great machine. Looks like the Legend needs updates also.

The Legend and Wet sand salt beach update.

Wow that's terrible Tom. I wouldn't worry about upsetting people, it is what it is. I'm hoping you just got a bad one and it gets replaced. I almost bought the Legend, glad I held off. Thanks for your honest post.

Cleaning coins in a rock tumbler

Waterdog, I haven't tumbled coins in years but if I remember right, I used cream of tartar in my gravel. Just a couple spoonfuls and the coins came out bright and shiny. Give it a try and let us know how it worked. (separate the pennies)

Headphones for wading in deeper water

Wireless headphones can't be used once the remote is submerged. (signal will be lost correct?). The BH01 headphones may not be the best choice as all the wind and wave noise may be pretty distracting. I'm looking at the FX-03's. Has anyone used these , do they have adequate ear coverage to...

    Will Deus 1 be obsolete?

I'm very happy with the Deus 1. I'm buying a 2 because I'm only 5 minutes from the beach. If I lived farther inland I'd just stick with the 1.

Bad news for people waiting on the 9".

You tube is a bad influence!

Never had the T2 but I had the F75. The F75 is a very good machine. I bought a Deus 1 3 1/2 years ago. I absolutely love it. I have ordered the Deus 2 mainly for salt water but I'll be keeping the 1. The ability to change frequencies and settings on different sites...it's like having...

    9 inch coil time frame

Maybe most of the 9" coils are staying in Europe.

    9 inch coil time frame

I don t blame you. I've been told to get the 11" by dealers but I won't budge. I know what I like and what works for me. If I can't get a 9" than I wo n't buy one. I have a Deus 1 with the 9" and several other good machines. Not going to get an 11" in order to try a Deus 2. Deus 1 works...

    Why so much coil cable?

    Thanks targits , I didn't realize that.

    Why so much coil cable?

No surprise there, the cable has to be connected to the coil. But you still don't that much coil cable to connect the coil to the controller.

    Why so much coil cable?

Yes, that's what I'm referring to. It's too long, way too many wraps. If you are a water hunter why would that be useless to you? (or do you plan on using another machine for water hunting)

    Why so much coil cable?

Looks like you could do away with at least half and have plenty to spare. A couple of wraps around the rod would be all most people would need.
