Took the V3i out for a ride

Been at least a couple years. Crazy chatter and EMI like noise regardless of coil or program. Did a reset and it acted normal again. Of course lost custom programs but I kind of remembered what I had set up. Weird thing though was on polar plot I was just getting a blank screen. The axis lines...

    Back of remote peeling off

That looks like the plastic has cracked / broker pretty severely! When I first got mine I found it really difficult to get it to snap into place. But either because I’ve become more adept or it’s just worn in it seems to lock in much better now and stays on better as well. I bought a...

    Surprised

And I’ve always heard great feedback on the DFX.

    Surprised

Yep! A really great company with the best customer service you could imagine! My opinion anyway. Bought a used DFX and never bonded with it. Went back to using my old MXT. Bought the V3i which has served me very well although now I’m using the XP Deus 2. I do wish Whites would have kept...

    Greek coin from 466 BC

Here's the other side of the coin. Not sure which side is the obverse.

    Greek coin from 466 BC

Interesting thought . However in my small town I have never seen anyone else detecting . Ever. I’m almost 72 and been here all my life. Not saying there couldn’t be others doing it but I’ve never seen them. And I’m out sometimes early and late with a headlamp when the days are shorter

    Greek coin from 466 BC

I’ll post a pic of the obverse a little later. If you look close at the pic I shared the word copy is visable. I looked online and found a place I could buy one for 10 bucks! Wouldn’t that be awesome if it were genuine! I live on an island up here in the Pacific NW. I’d be singing that song...

    Greek coin from 466 BC

Well just a replica. Found one early in the week in a little park I hunt at. Yesterday in another section of the park I found another. Someone is losing their replicas! Anyway I just thought it was kind of weird finding two. Both about 4 inches. Rang up at 91 on the D2.

    93 I think. Usually 94 or 95

    My 2 Cents

Had the Deaus 2 close to two months. Just dirt hunting right now. I think it’s fantastic for what I do. Deep. Fast. Great iD . I use a modified park program that works really well for me. 5 tones. Zero disc. I patterned it after what I saw on the mental metal site. I haven’t run as many...

No depth in pinpoint mode with version .71

So this morning I went out to a small park and really paid attention to how the pinpoint mode was doing. As I stated earlier the 9 inch coil does so well in search mode pinpointing the target that I don’t always use the pinpoint mode. Anyway this morning I used it on every target and seems to...

No depth in pinpoint mode with version .71

I misunderstood. I was thinking the op was talking about the MI -6 pinpointer. My error I don’t always use the pinpoint mode just because that 9 inch coil does such a great job of locating in search mode.

No depth in pinpoint mode with version .71

Seems like less depth to me as well but updated to .71 pretty soon after I bought the Deaus 2 which has been less than 2 months ago. Anyone compared it with the one? I should do that

    Iron falsing

Listen. Do you want to know a secret. It’s taken me years but audio rules in my opinion. Love the Deaus 2! 5 tones Zero discrimination

    What about nickles?

Have never found as many nickels as I’ve been finding with the Deaus 2. Actually that goes for dimes and quarters as well. I run a modified park program. 5 tones Zero discrimination Comparing to my Deaus 1 and the Nox.

Anyone try out the Deus 2 and then switch back to the Deus?

Came into the XP Deaus fold kind of late. With my impeccable timing bought the one last fall just before the announcement that the Deaus 2 was coming out. Oh well. Not the first time I’ve purchased electronics that were soon replaced with a newer better design. Anyway have had the Deaus 2 now...

Deus 2 update 7.1 and lost PWN Audio Mode

But if you just picked a couple programs to check and it all seemed good I think you could feel pretty confident that it was right.

Deus 2 update 7.1 and lost PWN Audio Mode

Sounds a bit tedious but page 46 in the manual has the factory program specs that you could us as a guide to check it all out with.

Deus 2 update 7.1 and lost PWN Audio Mode

Don't have a definitive answer other than reinstalling the update. I updated mine a couple weeks ago to 7.1 and still have the audio option for square or pwm on all my programs.
