    1880 homesite

Got the ok to detect this 1880 homesite this weekend and will be using the Deus2. I've been eyeballing it for quite a while now. My son's mom knows the girl who lives here. NICE!! Hope to find a (or a few)nice old coin or whatever relics it gives up. I'll post up what I find. Good luck hunting...

    Yesterday's short hunt.

Those are the ones I've seen. The ones I got were at least 9" down. All bunched together and came apart once I had it in my hand. Thought I was digging a bullet at first!

    Yesterday's short hunt.

A weird find indeed. I've seen where some guys are finding some different types of these kinds of things.

    Yesterday's short hunt.

Got a 69 cal., roundball and a rivet of some sort....and a weird find. Some "Golf Dollar" condom wrappers. Buddy got 2 roundballs and 3 bullets, plus a little badge. Thanks for looking.

    Dues II cable breaking.

My order was before the summer. I had ordered the piece for the remote. It took over two months before I finally got it. I sent many emails with no replies. There were several others with the same problem too that I had chatted with. I won't be ordering from this guy again.

I had the same problem with them too. Many emails, no reply.

More finds from the bullet patch....

Nice finds. Weather is starting to cool down here . I hope to get out soon. Good luck hunting.

For all the guys and ( gals ) who have been detecting for a while ( like me almost 30 yrs ) what haven't you found yet.....

I relic hunt and have found many US buckles and boxplates, lots of Confederate and Yankee buttons, bullets. The one thing that has eluded me after 37 years, is a very common Yankee breastplate. My brother has dug a few I saw them come out the hole. Dang it!! I have dug a Confederate shoulder...

Cleaning the face (the screen of your metal detector)

I still have the one on that came with the 900. Yeah, what T-DUB said!

Tell us how long you been Metal Detecting

37 years for me. Brother and I Started off renting a detector to see if I liked it. After he found (I dug it up) a fully intact Schenkle shell, that's all it took! Got a discount on a Nautilus detector and that was the start of my relic hunting career!

    Equinox 900

Nice finds! I haven't been out detecting yet, but soon! I have an excellent spot to use the 6" coil in. The 6" seems to have pretty good depth from what I've seen on YouTube videos. I hope it does have good iron separation with both coils. We'll see. It would prove it's worth in this spot and...

    Equinox 900

I haven't taken it out yet and will keep this in mind when digging those type of signals. Deep iron is good where I'm at. Civil War artillery! Thanks.

    I did everything!

That's the settings I'm starting off with when my relic hunting season starts...no beaches though , just woods.

    Equinox 900

That's one feature that made me lean towards the 900. I had the 800 and liked it pretty good. I couldn't quite get used to the compressed ID scale though , so I sold it. UPS delivered the 900 today! Got it assembled and everything 's on charge. Can't wait for cooler weather to get here!

    Equinox 900

Thanks. I've had a few dealings with Bart. Ground ain't too bad here, just the weather. I had the 600/800 a few years back but couldn't get used to the compressed VDI 's. I like the new configuration of the 900.

    Equinox 900

Bit the bullet today and got the 900 from Bart@BigBoys. Smooth transaction. Thanks Bart. Should be here by the end of next week. Hope to gain some knowledge from the users on here. Won't put it to use until the fall, but until then, I'll be reading the manual and playing around with it. Good...

XP Deus 2 coils 11 inch or 13 inch preferred

I currently use the 11" coil which suits me fine, and it gets in-between the iron great. So I don't know if the 9 will help me any, but that 13 I could see an extra advantage in just a little more depth for relic hunting.

    Heat and detector,batteries

Have fun and good luck digging at the beach. I've been beach hunting probably twice my whole life. Not much luck using the old Nautilus 2b and had to leave another because unexploded ordinance was found. Buckroe Beach,Va. I was using the Whites Eagle 2 SL on that one.

    Heat and detector,batteries

I don't do any detecting during the summer months, so no worries for me. Bad enough I have to work in this heat, let alone go digging. But some people do...to each his own. I used to do it but I ain't 18 no more! 😆
