Blank Sheet for Recording Custom Settings

Thanks Tony --- that is what I am doing with an Excel Spreadsheet. Once I get it figured out, I will convert to PDF and share. Still tweaking things and relearning MS Excel since it has been over a dozen years since last use and/or classes in MS products. :(

Blank Sheet for Recording Custom Settings

any feedback on the use of the makro/nokta scuba pinpointer

I am a land lubber who occasionally gets to local river beaches and into the water's edge. The Nokta-Makro Pulse Dive without the Scuba Wand is what I use. Well built (like a tank) and never fails on land or water's edge. IMHO PS: I have since purchased the Minelab Pro-Find 35 to used with my...

How Deep Do We Have To Really Go

I too am back to detecting after a few years hiatus (broken back issues and heart attack --- all for fun, of course). So... I started with the Simplex and a 5" by 9" coil, but not enough separation in heavily trashed parks where I hunt in between old parking strips. So... ...bought an Equinox...

Blank Sheet for Recording Custom Settings

Blank Sheet for Recording Custom Settings for my Nox 800 OK, Ok; back in the day of my XLT Spectrum... ...I had a notebook full of custom settings for my records. Now I can convert (scan and save as) to Word Document or Adobe Acrobat to save and carry with my Smart Phone. Problem is, I cannot...

    I'm Getting Discouraged..!

YES! I too have those streaks where nothing good is to be found. But... I remind myself about the fresh air, the exercise, the learning more about my machine and the research of where to go. Most of all, though, I got to enjoy walking through older neighborhoods and admiring classic architecture...

    My wife got her Equinox

Here are some tips/tricks pages I saved and read from regularly to try to increase my skills... https://docsdetecting.com/2019/03/22/making-your-equinox-purr-like-a-kitten-while-detecting-and-roar-like-a-lion-on-a-target/...

    Clean Finds ?

100% agree. I carry pill bottles and/or other similar container with slightly dampened sponges to place a ring in, then a sponge in between it and the next ring etc. I do the same with coins. If I find something I am certain has real value, I have learned to leave the dirt in place and wrap in...

    I'M DONE!!!!

I remember a day like that many years ago while using an XLT with some cheap headphones. At some point I realized only one side of headphones was steady with signal and even then... Some home soldering and back to same baseball park --- several dollars in change and a nice silver ring. The next...

I Have Questions - What Is Your Detecting Music Edition

Agreed, but I still like to sing the songs in my head, that is, not out loud. This is of course when no signals for some time. One of the heavily littered and full of change and rings city parks I detect does not allow for much daydreaming. :)

    My Pin Pointer is Haunted....

So, I am not an electronics engineer, but have had some basic electronics training many, many years ago. What if there is a 'capacitor' of some type on the circuit card and/or in modern terms, designed into the die for the processor. From what I remember, one of the functions of a capacitor is...

First Beach Hunt in nearly 14 years...

Good questions kajunman. I just left the default settings in Beach2. I did look at the recovery speed and it was at 6, so I left it there. This was an inner city freshwater beach newly created a few years ago. The beach is directly under a freeway bridge and adjacent to very loud inner city...

First Beach Hunt in nearly 14 years...

Maybe our hard, or is that hardy, work this beach season will payoff with well-honed skills when the 'humans' return to the beaches and drop goodies for us. :)

First Beach Hunt in nearly 14 years...

First Beach Hunt in nearly 14 years... No gold rings, No silver rings, and no necklaces and so forth. I detected a small, very small inner city beach with my Equinox 800 in Beach 2 mode (set to 50 tone), with the 6" coil. I walked into and out of water, up to dry sand and along tide out line. I...

    my "real" finds..last 2 weeks

http://nwdetectorist.epizy.com/antidiscriminationact.htm My thoughts exactly; although I do occasionally goof off and crank up the discrimination when my back injuries are running the show. :)

    This ever happen to you?

'Double-Clutching' is what the old timers taught me in using this same technique with White's XLT.
