    Unusual quarter

    It is a strange mystery.

    Unusual quarter

My thought is that a sticker or similar object of a star design was placed on that area… just a guess…

Not the bed of nails for which I was looking…

You made some amazing finds!!! The heel plate is most likely from a woman’s shoe, and a great find!! If you can get some details off the LC that is missing the date, you might be able to date it within a few years. I did that recently with one I found in the river. As far as the other pieces...

Coins - Coins - Coins; Going away?

I also got the same thing from the bank I deal with.

Coins - Coins - Coins; Going away?

I am not sure people have thrown away that many coins, but I do believe they may have lost that many… I know I have found quite a few of them!😂🤣 With that being said, I have noticed that many people do not carry change anymore…and are certainly not losing as much now as when I first started...

Xterra Elite compared to Equinox 900

As stated in one of my posts above, I also have an 800 and by no means using the XTP to replace it… I love the 800 and if not for a chance of leaks while using it in the water, I would not have bought the XTP. With that said, I feel confident about using the XTP in the water and it has been in...

    River finds today...

Oh yes!! My parents opened and operated a small swimming lake back in the early 1960’s. I must have learned there, because I do not remember not being able to swim.

    River finds today...

With a drought going on and extremely high temperatures, I have been trying a couple of local rivers. With the exception of finding a large cent near where an old ferry used to be, all other coins are modern clad although I have got some 1965-1967 dates. Today I found a few older non coin items...

    Parks are perking up

Interesting…most of the ones I find come from school yards and tot lots.

    Parks are perking up

You had a great day… especially finding 6 dollar coins…that is quite a bit of clad you have there!!

    X-Terra lower shafts

I would say so.. The one from the Vanquish will most likely work too.

    X-Terra lower shafts

Read my post further down on this forum about my findings between the Vanquish and XTerra Pro lower shafts. That may give you some insight.

    Any ideas?

    Exactly!!

    Sun Glare

Other than what was stated above, the only thing I can think of is trying to prevent scratching the cover while cleaning it. Scratches and dust will make it worse.

    Got a sweet coin tonight.....

Nice finds!!👍👍 That quarter is in great condition and they do not usually have that much detail on them as you probably are aware.

    It's soooooooo dry

Dry here in Va. too along with very high temperatures. Last time I detected in land was June 9th. Luckily I decided to try detecting some rivers this year… between that and swimming lakes I can keep on detecting and stay cool.

    Little more silver

Nice score on that silver quarter!!!👍👍 I have been hoping to find some silver in the river, but so far no luck.
