    My GT, before and after

Nice job. My 8 year old one is showing some age but she still likes to scream in my ears "Dig That" and most of the time she is correct. Of course i forgive her when it is an aluminum screw cap.

    Pinpointer ?

I use a scoop. Scoop up the target. Shake the sand out and you have the target in hand. Much quicker than trying to find a target with a pin pointer. On the dry sand any of the small long handled scoops. I used a 5 inch scoop for a while until I decided to detect in the water.

    Hey Guys---I'm a newbie with a White's Coinmaster 6000/D. Just need some info !

The coil wire on most machines is long enough to wind around the shaft many times. Some folks like to mount the box on their belt and they need the extra length. Takes the weight of the machine off their arm as they only have the coil and shaft to contend with.

    Foot wear dry and wet.

I purchased a new pair of dive boots from One more chance Scuba west Ashley. They are heavy sole boots. I bought a size smaller than what I wear in a regular shoe. They are STORM brand an like everything else they came from china. I think they retail for around 85 bucks but he cut the price...

    Sunray Invader FX-1 Probe

Rick I talked to Garrett repair a few months back. I was quoted $27.50 for the repair. Plus the cost of any parts. If I remember correctly that included return shipping. Garrett Customer service can not be beat. Have you tried putting a quarter between the battery and the cap. Some times...

Does the Simplex (or any detector really) have a setting that keeps track of usage hours?

But that little clock that ran when you turned the machine on would add 300-500 dollars to the cost of a detector.

    School yards are promising

Not in my area. Schools are fenced with Locked Gates. Some even have No Trespassing Signs. I will detect the areas that are accessible but wont climb a fence.

    I just can’t do it!

With every new machine I think we all wonder if I get that machines will its performance be enough of an improvement that I will find enough more stuff that it is worth the investment. Or does that machine just have a bunch of bells and whistles that add considerably to the expense. While the...

    Poem--A MEMORIAL TO MORALITY

Had a pastor who was considering retirement. He said I am looking forward to going to heaven. But I have no desire to rush the lord as much as one second. The day before he passed away our pastor went to visit him. He told the pastor that he had made it all the way to the gates of heaven...

When you make your decision please get on the phone and talk to a couple dealers. We have some very good dealers who sponsor this forum. IO will admit that I am biased towards Richard at Backwoods Detectors. If Richard tells you something you can take to the bank. I have not only done...

Mint no longer accepting “found” coins?

Contrary to popular belief Banks are Not required to accept any currency or coins. The mint for a long time would not take corroded zinc pennies. You have to ship damaged coins to them. If its zinc pennies it is not worth the hassle. Some Federal Reserve Banks May take damaged money. But not...

    Equinox and nickels....

I found a war nickel that rang up as silver on my Sovereign GT. It rang up a little lower once I got it out of the dirt. There was nothing else in the area. Was shocked when the nickel came out of the dirt. I then took a bunch of old war nickels that I had put away back in the 60's and every...

I don't know if he is real or not. And honestly it makes absolutely no difference to me. I don't watch you tube videos as I find most of them to be boring. Different strokes for different folks. If he finds some nice, expensive and glittering more power to him. I detect for my own pleasure. .
