Yep I think Garrett has got something else up their sleeve. I should just order a vx9. I myself see alot of the Whites V3i in the new Garrett, but in a more user friendly package. I know for 1, once it's in hands of someone like you we will all know what to expect from it.I have a feeling you may be correct @KSDfisher77, I honestly have a feeling Garrett may come out with 2-4 more upgrades with in 3-6 months after the Vortex hits the market for sale just because there are to many people out there making a big deal out of the Lack of settings that the Vortex is coming out with, instead of first seeing how the Vortex will perform at first, the key thing for me with this new Vortex is the Lack of available settings, that's what has pushed me to go ahead and give the VX9 a try is the lack of a bunch of settings, i am one that does not like to mess with a bunch of hidden settings and features in a detector.
@C.J.M. if you look at the specs for each there is quite a bit of difference between each Vortex, mainly in available frequencies that can be ran in single frequency operation as well Multi operation as well as the available search modes and the difference in the Target ID scales and the different amounts of Tier levels, other than what I have mentioned there really is no differences in the three Vortex models
its going to be an interesting detector to give a swing
The VX9 is a no brainer for me because I do not want to have to install a upgrade rite out of the gate, There is only $150 difference in price between the VX5 and the VX9 and only a $65 price difference between the VX7 and VX9, it just was not worth going through the hassle of having to upgrade to the next Level so I just elected to put in my order for the VX9Yep I think Garrett has got something else up their sleeve. Thanks. Lol I know your hook-up man. I might quiz him a bit.@KSDfisher77 one of the dealer sponsors here on Finds is who I have placed my order with for a VX9 if you want to know whom that is I can PM you the info of who I went through, I do know that dealer has ordered at least 4 VX9s and I am first on his list to receive my VX9 as I have already paid him for my VX9
Let me know
Maybe I should just tell who it is here, my VX9 is already paid for so I am not worried, the rest of you can fight over what the dealer has left as long as I get my VX9 i don't personally care if any of the rest of you get one LOLHa, i may know who it is, personal friend of mine
I have several top of the Line detectors, no I do not need another one but I want another one, I am a metal detector Hoarder LOL, in my mind I cannot have to many LOLI have two top of line units, not getting one as of now
Well, I am in a tight spot my grand son wants a At PrO ,however they seem to be over priced.I selling my new X-TERRA PRO its in mint condition.Seems like my grand son does not care for the large coil.So I am thinking maybe the NO 7 Vortex would be all this kid needs. My shoulders are shot otherwise I would not sell it.I only used it twice.I also have been told to buy him the Apex.So at this point I am looking at the AT PRO; APEX; NO.7 VORTEX.I have a feeling you may be correct @KSDfisher77, I honestly have a feeling Garrett may come out with 2-4 more upgrades with in 3-6 months after the Vortex hits the market for sale just because there are to many people out there making a big deal out of the Lack of settings that the Vortex is coming out with, instead of first seeing how the Vortex will perform at first, the key thing for me with this new Vortex is the Lack of available settings, that's what has pushed me to go ahead and give the VX9 a try is the lack of a bunch of settings, i am one that does not like to mess with a bunch of hidden settings and features in a detector.

I agree with you, for me it was a no brainer just to not have to upgrade to the next level and then you are prepared for when Garrett brings out an even higher upgrade, I honestly am hoping that by purchasing the VX9 I will not even have to consider getting the next upgrade that Garrett could possibly come out with for the Vortex series LOL but who to heck knowsLol I think you should splurge a bit & just get the Garrett Vortex VX9 for the grandson.
I honestly see in my mind endless possibilities with this new Vortex, no one actually knows just how far Garrett could possibly take this new VortexLol I think you should splurge a bit & just get the Garrett Vortex VX9 for the grandson.
Yeah I think Garrett vortex will be a decent machine. I'm like you, wonder what the released version will be like.I honestly see in my mind endless possibilities with this new Vortex, no one actually knows just how far Garrett could possibly take this new Vortex
Yeah I read some of the things people are saying and just shake my head, how can any one judge a book by its cover without having ever even reading one page, it just blows my mind some of the stuff being said LOLYeah I think Garrett vortex will be a decent machine. I'm like you, wonder what the released version will be like.
We all know they are still adding & fixing things in the testers models.
I do think it's funny how people keep giving Garret Vortex a bad rap, when it's not even in those people's hands yets. Dang child's play/ whiners that didn't receive a free Vortex to test.
No known cure for thatmetal detector Hoarder
