Hi,I have just found this metal detector which belonged to my father in law.I have resoldered the three 9v battery connections.Does it need all 3 batteries to see if it's working.?I suspect it does.Is it wired in series to make 27v?

Hi Kevin. I also have a coinmaster setting in my closet that belonged to my Brother an law. I don't know much about it. It does have three 9 vt batterys an I'm sure It needs all of them. Your prubley right on the voltage. If it was wired in parallel it would draw more current but the voltage would be only 9 volts. I thanks that's right
