The Vortex Had A Real Infinity To Nickels Today Plus I Dug A Special Olympic Pin

The Vortex found 15 nickels today. Now if only the search-coil could have passed over a nice gold ring. I would have surely dug it. It just wasn't in the cards today.

Here are some other finds from a school yard. That 2010 Olympic pin is rather unique as Garrett had the contract for security equipment. There were red alerts for terrorism, and the Garrett walk-through units did a great job.

Here's a better image of the pin I dug today. Charles, Eleanor and Vaughan Garrett and Vice President Bob Podhrasky served as early Olympic torch runners during the countdown to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games. It's a small world!

Not the modified trowel.
I use that in sod. Can't even see where I was with that. I just rounded the edges.
The hooked screwdriver is awesome around roots. Really good in gravel.
And I love it for popping coins.
