Excellent video on “The best Detector”

Couldn’t agree more. I had the D2 and it was great but sold it for the reasons he said. Me and 2 buddies have the Legends and I can’t say it it’s performance isn’t up there with the other two but I’m selling mine because the M clicks with me. Tones, ease and quickness of adjustments, 2D screen, 9” round coil, weight and balance etc. As said many times before, it not using Bluetooth for wireless SUCKS (&$) otherwise it’s damned near perfect FOR ME. Someone would have to come up with one hell of a better detector for me to ever change. Sometimes spending the extra money is worth it.

Same here my Manticore is my go to detector with the 9” especially on my beaches with no shortages of finds

He is good knows his detectors the manticore is a very easy to use no fuss machine not too much "stuff"

Great summary, I believe I’ve tried saying this many times but not nearly as clear. Owning most of the top tier detectors I finally found MINE - the Manticore. I’m selling my legend (and others) not because of performance but because the M is nearly perfect for ME and that makes my time more enjoyable and worth the price. My second choice would be the D2 but I sold it for the same reasons he stated. All said I am still keeping and using my Quest X10 and my single knob Fisher 1212X. (It’s like a Tesoro compadre but at 4 or 5khz.) I hope everyone has or will find THEIR best machine too.

Been saying exactly this for years. There was a great video done over here in the UK when someone took out a deus and a chesp c scope detector and compared each signal that was found. The cheapo c scope detected every signal the deus did.

I could not agree more excellent video!!
When I saw it was 17min. long I was thinking "PASS" but something led me to push the play button. Glad I did. I like videos like these that deliver the goods, not just a forum for a wannabe movie star to wander through the subject like a lost boy in the woods. This is definetely worth the time.....well done

I’ve been watching him for awhile and chatting with him he’s a great humble down to earth man

I had planned on keeping my legend as my backup to my Manticore. I know it’s top tier, but unless you use it all the time it’s hard (for me) to remember those damned settings symbols and get used to the different tones. Selling both my Noktas for those reasons only. That’s why I’m keeping my V 540. Same tones, super easy settings, light, and Bluetooth. Fine for a backup and a great loaner for friends and family.
