Digstock finds and the Outer Banks

Ohio pull tabs

Well-known member
At digstock found a 1916 dog tax tag, a buckle and some reeds. At the outer banks, my first ocean beach hunt. My first target was a silver chain and a little later a silver ring. Then on my way home stopped at a old coal town in western Ohio and found a makeup compact. People in the town said we were the first they have seen there metal detecting.

I liked it, the storm the night before I went out helped me out, I was in a three foot cut, and a lot of black sand, next day nothing sanded in.
Yep… things can change from great to terrible very fast.
When those cuts are there, that is the time to get out there while it is good.
Conditions were great for a day or two for me last year when I went to the beach, then things slowed down.
Nice high cuts from strong winds.
