Zodiac Ring

Treasure Mike

New member
Found the earing yesterday laying on top of the ground. 14K .7 gram. While searching a park today I found this Zodiac style Cancer ring which is 14K and weighs 2.8 grams. Hit at 10-12 on the VDI meter on the MXT with the Bigfoot coil. It was down 2-3 inches in the turf. This is a section of a park near the swimming area where the parents and kids lie on there towels and blankets. Found a gold ring in the same area last summer. Thanks for looking! Mike

Great finds. You always seem to find the gold. Continued good luck and HH Dennis in Idaho

It just slays me with all the jewelry lost and then found! I would be sick if I lost any one of my rings. Way to go Mike.

Question: I've got a stash of "to be melted down" gold. I'm going to have a jeweler make a bracelet for me. What do you all do with your gold finds?

I have kept most of my gold, platinum and silver finds and put them in display cases. I did sell a few to co-workers. Last year I sent about 100 grams or so to Midwest Refineries. It was mostly gold jewelry pieces that were damaged or that were kids size. I took that money and bought several gold coins. Here are my gold finds that I have kept. The long gold chain in the center picture and about a half dozen small gold rings I traded for some detector equipment. The rest of the stuff I found in parks and playgrounds during the last two years.I also have a little more than this in silver jewelry. Thanks for looking! Mike

Nice! I'm with you about buying gold coins. We've done the same thing and then save our "keepers". Very nice display. Thanks for showing them. It's always nice to see others casing their ring finds, etc. Great minds think alike!!!!
