Zipped, foiled and erased...

I've been very much out of detecting, as of late, mostly due to work. So, with a nice fat Thanksgiving holiday coming, I was planning several dawn to dusk detecting sessions to "get back in to the swing" of things. Never mind that pesky flu Ive been nursing - no siree, we's is goin' detectin'! :clapping:

Well, as Robert Burns would say, "the best laid plans of mice and men oft go awry".

It turns out the flu I had is actually bronchial pneumonia and I spent all of Turkey Day wrapped around a pillow. I am one sick little puppy, it seems. Go figgure.

But, I am not so easily deterred.

During my visit today to my local dispensary for diagnosis and treatment, I asked the sawbones if I could get out for a little exercise and fresh air.
"Well, as long as your up to it. Nothing strenuous, of course, but some fresh air and a little activity would do you some good." Ah sweet prescription! That's sounds like metal detecting to me.

So I popped on over to the local sandlot, aka kiddie playground, for a few of the now famous "Edmonton Knee Bends" and "One Cent Stretch and Grabs". While I'd like to report several key date silver coins and some gold jewelry, alas all I got was what you see in the pic.

What did I learn from all this?
1. Any time spent detecting is better than being sick (or working, for that matter).
2. If I had come across any good targets, the 1350 would've sniffed em out. Note the small foil bits, the rivet and so on.
3. I will be thinking of more detecting as I convalesce and will be taking my air with a Garrett in hand. :garrett:

Happy belated Thanksgiving to all of you,

Hope you get better soon.

Your green machine will give yeah all the TLC you'll want....

Take care of yourself and I look forward to future posts.

Cheers!
