Braved the cold and use the stock coil on a football field. I notice changing the disc from the first preset to no disc I was able to find a few more coins, the VDI would jump but the high tone made me dig. Probably 4/5" range. Coins could have been on edge. I'm use to the excel coils, coins seem to hit harder on them. hh
