As you may have read, my coil went on my Exp II. I was really bummed out. I decided to take the CZ-20 to the beach. I got there way before low tide but figured I'd walk the surf a bit in my waders. I was picking up a lot of deep old coins; a good sign that the surf was giving some buried stuff up. I was hoping that maybe she'd give up some gold. AND SHE DID!!! WOO HOO! A 14K ring with 20 DIAMONDS!!! (2 are missing though) It is one honkin' heavy ring! It even fits me perfectly. I'm going to take it to the jeweler's this weekend to see if the diamonds are real and what'll cost to fix it. It was pretty beat up but I gave it a good polishing with a dremel and some jeweler's rouge:

Well, thought that a bad day was going in the up direction but that wasn't the case... As I was walking down the beach I got a hit on what must have been a BIG piece of iron. I don't know if it fried something or what, but now MY CZ-20 DOESN'T WORK EITHER!!!! ARRGGGHHH!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! TWO DETECTORS IN ONE DAY??? To top it off, I took off my waders and realized I have a leak. Sometimes I wonder :)

they are diamonds !! That'll make up for some of the bad luck. You may have set a new record for detector failures :) Steve in so az

The coil IS under warranty! I just got the thing in April and it has a year on the coil. Between the CZ and the Exp II, I guess I'm going to be spending more time at the post office and none detecting

Had you not found the ring then your troubles would have been terrible, but God blessing you with the ring helped ease the pain of problems with your detectors!

God Bless and remember to give God praise in all things! :)

That is one awesome ring, Joe! I'm sorry about your detector problems, but at least the CZ's coil is under warranty. I would have thought the Minelabs would have been too.

It will be interesting to hear what the ring is worth! Good going, dude!!

I lost that one! WOW! I hope it is the real deal! If you were here I would test it for you! Not sure about your exp coil, but I would send it to Minelab and let them know how little it has been used before dying! Also the Fisher has a lifetime warrenty!

I did get the tape!

I typed a post to you just after I received it thanking you! :) Good sounding band by the way. How did you manage to get autograph? :)
