Your two favourite Tesoros

If you could own only two Tesoros which two would it be? And If you could add a brief explanation why, that would be quite helpfull, thanks.

Compadre: I love to keep it simple. Light weight. One 9 volt battery that last forever. Finds that small gold and them fine chains. So easy to use. Tiger Shark: I love water hunting. Most of the time I hunt in all metal. When the ground gets hard and it is 90 Deg. outside. The water feels good. I have others, but you said your most used... KEN

I love all my Tesoro detectors. One of the two would be the Outlaw.

If I had to narrow it down, I would pick the Toltec ll and Tiger Shark as my two keepers.

Toltec II and the Bandito which I have and will keep but you know this is a loaded question LOL

Do we have to pick ONLY TWO? Compadre for sure, then either my Eldorado or Vaquero, but I'd hate to get rid of my Deleon and Tiger shark.

I have only used the 2 that I have, but have no desire to have a collection. In fact it seems like it would just complicate matters, for me anyways.

Compadre and Vaquero so far. I would like to try the Tejon one day though. As long as I own at least two detectors, one of them will be a Compadre. It is just fun.

Original sting-ray and tiger shark for water .golden saber 2 for land.but if I could have only one it would be the sting-ray,it's a shame they were only made for three years.

I did after I thought about it. I'm not quite as intelligent as some people give me credit for. :bouncy:

Tejon and Silver U

A few years back I just bought my Tejon at the same time that I met someone with a Silver U. I spent the season fumbling my way and slowly getting slightly better with the Tejon on a relic site. He spent the summer near by going through a huge field and pulling out a LOT of old silvers. I learned a hard lesson there. The higher skilled person with a simpler machine can do circles around the lesser skilled man with fancier equipment. In my case anyway. I was semi stunned and intimidated by the Tejon when I got it. I went from my first detector, an ACE 250, to the Tejon. There was definately a learning curve for me.

My Vaquero for the depth in my optional DD coil, my Compadre for everything else including dealing with large metal in tot lots in finding the smallest items including most any chain.

If I used more then these two in my life, this opinion might be different.

Oh I think your are I think you was just trying to see which one of us was going to break first!!! LOL:detecting: either way every tesoro I have owned thru the years has been great I think The main problem was I was an addict and wanted to try all of them and to do this I had to buy sell and trade But each was my loss in the long Run

Hi upnorth, I have acquired a heap of detectors over my years and still have most all of them, and I never had a Tesoro that I didn't prefer over all the rest. I have 10 Tesoros', a couple being duplicates. I would have to say my favorites would be the Tejon and Amigo II ( plugged for coil change).. I am hoping to get enough time in on the Eldorado to put it close to the front. HH, Charlie
