I have a LRP and a platinum. Both have about five hours of use on them. The lrp has the 11" dd coil the platinum the 8" round. I want an f 70 so i am goind to sell one of these two to help buy the f 70. I have not used either one long enough to make a proper decision. Which would you keep? I like the screen and recovery speed of the platinum but the features of the lrp like the manual ground balance option. Thanks for your ideas and opinions. :)

Toss up. Both can be turn on and go machines, while the LRP can also be adjusted as well as the F70, the platinum cannot (manual GB).

My choice would be to let the platinum go and keep the LRP for this reason:

The LRP and F70 has the same scale for the ID numbers while the platinum follows the Teknetics scale. Meaning that the F70 and LRP both end Iron at 20 while the platinum ends iron at 40. Nickels, tabs, foil etc identified by the LRP would use the same numbers the F70 would (both IDing nickels in the 35 range rather than the platinum IDing nickels in the 54 range).
