Went out of town on this hunt to check out a high school / new place to hunt. The high school isn't that old (1960's) but thought I might find some goodies. So a half hour into the hunt the local police show up and no doubt ran my plate on my car that sat alone in the high school parking lot. I acknowledged the officer and then went back to hunting. He watched me for a minute or two and was on his way. About 15 - 20 minutes later I hit on a pretty good signal (turned out to be junk metal) as I am down searching for the item I look up to see a pair of shoes and legs lol. So I stand up and there is an older gentlemen standing there. "you find anything?" He then said to me, " your on my property" I apologized to him and explained to him that I thought I was on school property as the other end held the school sign. I introduced myself and shook his hand. He then showed me the property line between the school property and his. He then said to me, " I don't care if you do this on my property" He then starting talking about the old house that use to sit on the lot. He then welcomed me to hunt the site as much as I want ( I was very happy to hear this) So no doubt I will be returning....
Although TONS of junk on the site, I managed to pull two Indian Head cents (1904 & 1890) a 1944 wheat and a nice Xtra rich Stand & Gilt button. I also found a neat miniature lock from the Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. New Britain, CT Patented 1888.
A word about the coil - I was using the Tornado 800 - on loan from a super great friend. This is my first time using this coil and what a HUGE difference in seperating targets from the 10" tornado. This little coil has super amazing abilities to seperate multiple targets close by... I have to say MUCH better then the 10" tornado coil. Don't get me wrong, I love the 10" tornado but was shocked at the difference in seperating multiple targets. I think I am falling in love with this little coil lol
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!
