Your favorite scoop????

I searched through seven pages of previous posts and found some information but I would like to get a condensed thread of opinions.

I am awaiting the arrival of my Excalibur 1000 and need to find a scoop. I had a Monster Scoop a few years ago and liked it but I am curious if one of the pointed scoops would not work better in harder/rocky areas. I live in East Tennessee and will do 90% of my water hunting in freshwater lake swimming areas. I am leaning toward the PIRATE STAINLESS STEEL WATER SCOOP from dixiemetaldetectors.com
What scoops do you like and why? Also, links to where I can find them would be helpful.

I'm using the "Brute" and it is working okay, but I wish someone had a flat bottom scoop that would work better in the thin layer of sand on top of the clay in the rivers here.

I think you are talking about places like the Little river with rocks covering the bottom. But in the swimming areas that have sand brought in, depth is not a problem and you don't want to penetrate the clay.

The brute:

I have an aluminium 6" travel scoop with an SS tip from Bill that is nice and light but very tough. It won't tire you out and digs through most anything.

Cheers,

I like my sunspot. It is the older version but I still like it and I have replaced some of the metal fasteners with nylon tie straps which eliminates rusty hardware. It is a little heavy by one or two scoops and I have the item I detected in the scoop.

What is the deal with all of the weird characters in place of links and product names?
Does this have something to do with sponsorship?
I can't believe that we are limited to recommending products by vendors who sponsor the forums.

this sucker takes a big bite, but its heavy. i use a sifter to carry it around on. and so the weight doesn't matter as much here are a couple of pics
