Your favorite finds pouch?

Hey guys, I've been detecting since February and my White's finds pouch is already wearing pretty bad. What do you guys use, and is there one out there that you guys would suggest with good durability and multiple pockets?

I use the garrett pouch because it was givin to me. Not that its bad. It is quite durable and I havent had a problem with it in over 3 yr.

Minelab makes a tough one, but I think it has too many pockets for dirt to hide in. I think that a generic cowhide tool pouch from the hardware store would be sufficient for anyone.

Thats a really good question, I've been thinking about that ever since I got my Garret ProPointer. In the past my treasure pouch held everything, digging tool, pin pointer, towel and coins in a separate pocket. Now my ProPointer and Lesche both come with holsters the towel goes over the handle of the Lesche, and the big ol treasure pouch just gets in the way. I would like to find a small pouch say 6"x 6" just to hold the coins with a separate compartment for trash.

I like the Sunray find pouch. Its all leather, a little large buts that's fine by me, I'm sure it will be around long after I'm gone.
Some folks say they are too expensive, and they are expensive but, You get what you pay for.

The Sunray leather pouch is the best pouch I have used. You will never wear this pouch out in your lifetime.

I will get in line with Joe.

Don't forget your local yard sale and thrift store. For what you pay any decent bag will work for a while. And if you're handy, simple modifications can be made.

I bought an Older Camera Holder
Belt Clipped" Type.

Light weight..Two divisions one for trash one for Keepers.... Zippered too.

Gee, I must be old fashioned. I still like the nail apron type of pouch. Light weight, two good size pockets for trash and coins and inexpensive. On a canvas belt I attach my pin pointer and digging tool. Both in holsters. HH jim tn

The pouch came from ebay, two pocket leather nail/screw bag.
The belt came from GoodWill for a $1.00 its nice leather and in near new condition.
Soil knife from Amazon $9.00 plus shipping. (Great knife Great Price)
Coin probe from my early days of detecting (Not For Sell, No I will not Loan It Either! LOL)
Pro-pointer Kelleyco.
Large pocket for golf tee's and trash, small pocket for the goodies.
Combination, Priceless!

Hi Mark,

I like your set up. How did you get the pro pointer holster attached? More rivets? I'd personally like to have all my tools in or attached to my pouch like that.

I'm with David, Roger and Larry. The Sunray pouch will set you back a little over $50 with shipping, but it will last years and years if not a lifetime. Once you get one, your days of wearing out, or keeping an eye out for a better pouch are over.

Kellyco's Sidekick pouch is a very good pouch. Its just one big pocket with a mesh bottom. I keep my tools (treasure wise digger, screwdriver probe, magnet, and an occasional hand held probe in it. I put all my trash and all my treasure in it. When I'm done, I just take out the tools, and dump the thing upside down on a paper towel or newspaper and sort it all out. I've been using the same one since January of 2004. It is really starting to show wear now at the grommets and I got a new one to replace it, but I'm waiting for it to finally give up the ghost before I start using the new one. At this point I'm thinking I may get a few more years out of it. I've had no problems with the mesh bottom. I've had no problems with the seams. The only place it shows wear is where the waist belt connects. I've pulled some of the metal grommets out of it (I've really put some weight in it by the end of the hunt many times). But thats a lot of weight over how many years? 8 years now?

Don't use the leg strap. Just use the waist strap.

My nickel,
HH

I just use a nail apron and it works fine for me. As for the Lesh digger I use a hammer holster on my belt, it's easier to use than a sheath trying to get out and put back in. Stick the Pro -pointer in my back pocket. I like to travel light.

The "Silver Hunter" from DeMarco detector sales. Best pouch I have ever used. I feel lost without it.
