Your D2 VS SEF coil thoughts

yowow#1

New member
How would you guys that have used both coils compare the two? Strong points for each, not looking for bashing comments. The reason for my asking is i just got the D2 with a new V3i but i like the SEF, i don't want to just throw the D2 in the corner and forget about it. So i figure the quickest way to find out about the D2 compared to the SEF is to ask you guys that know the two. Just looking for general info.

Thanks Rob (IL)

I have been using the SEF 10x12 coil lately. I really do like it in the bigger wide open parks. it works very well and is stable. I wouldn't ever say its the only coil i would use because of the many places i hunt and each coil has its best use. I have been enjoying it and would tell anyone that is looking for a good coil that isn't huge and with the central mounting point makes it very easy to swing to go for it.

I like the 12X10 SEF because of more ground coverage, less weight and better ground noise rejection. I think the depth is about the same in my ground.

Thanks guys.
