Young bird drinking water..............

Kelley (Texas)

New member
Took this picture a little while ago of a young Grackle Bird drinking water from a pan that I keep on the rail of our patio deck. It is getting late evening and this picture was taken in the shade. These old Minolta lenses are capable of producing some good pictures and are fun to use.

Picture taken with a Sony A200 DSLR using a vintage Minolta 100-200mm lens, F7.1, 1/30, ISO 100, Manual Mode. Kelley (Texas)

This young female bird is only a few months old, not fully grown yet. She shows up late in the evening and I always have water and food waiting for her. At the present time, she will come within two or three feet of me as I put the food out for her to eat.

I took this picture to test an older Minolta (1987) AF 100-200mm lens, wanted to see how it would perform in low light situations. It did much better than I expected it to do.

Again, thanks for posting a response. Kelley (Texas) :)
