I thought maybe I just goofed up and didn't submit the last post that disappeared. Now a whole thread is gone that has discussion about which detectors we like best. If it's as awesome as so many people say then surely there's no reason to silence folks.

It was deleted because it was getting out of hand. What you missed was a little more name calling that I put a end to it.

I see you have a little problem also. I let it stand for the most part because I can understand your frustration with your detector, and Fisher. I hope it is taken care of properly for you, and your satisfied with the results. I will say though, were not going to let it continue the way it was going.

Contrary to your statement, were not trying to silence anyone up. Instead of complaining, take a long read at the post here, and you will fine that there's a lot of post both positive & negative.

Much appologies if I contributed to that - maybe I need more emoticons in my posts. It would seem like locking the thread and giving a stern warning with a link to forum conduct rules would straighten all up. Deleting the posts just hurts anyone looking at spending a grand on a detector.

Mike Scott is bending over backwards for me - I'm confident it will be fixed. I own a Chevy Impala --- if you told someone it sucks, that would be an alright thing to say. Why in the world do folks defend a metal detector like its a family member?

Now let me say this, the day isn't long enough to have to hold every ones hand that does something out of place. We all don't spend our time at the computer watching this forum, waiting for something to happen. So for the most part things get handled by the delete button.

Were not trying to defend any detector, just trying to keep the forum running smoothly. I could give a fat rats arse if you said something bad about a Fisher, but in the last post you complained about, it got down to name calling by others, so I deleted the complete string. The kind of post that pits one unit against the other, most likely will end up in some kind of a contest of who's is bad, and bigger. Then the nasty name calling starts. No notices, just delete button.
