Well I found a Vnickle about a month ago and thought ,cool I have been wanting to dig one of these. Yesterday on another forum I saw a post that said Key date 1885. I read the post and it was an 1885 key date Vnickle and I says to my self, self I think that one you found was an 1885 .I went and dug the coin out and yes,it is an 1885 key date coin in very poor shape. I never thought that I would find a key date so I am pretty happy even though it is in really worn shape. Thanks for looking andHH. :usaf:

If it were me I would soak it in virgin olive oil for a few weeks to help in the preservation.

Birdman Congrats on the great Key Date.................
